:( So sad... Well guys, I waited 4 years for this game. I remember 2 weeks before it was released... I couldn't sleep.... :( And then... A light... The Wii! With TP! You can't imagine how I felted good! And then... 2 weeks later... It became boring. :P The ironic thing is, that even if TP is a fantastic Zelda adventure, I hoped for something more. Something that would break the laws of video gaming and deliver something... like a revolution? :) I have my reasons about not giving this game a perfect 10 and they are serius probs:
1. Map~ The map is way too small. It reminds me of OoT
2. Dungeons~ Te dungeons were great, but the were 9 or 10 :P I expected more dungeons :D
3.Horse battles~ i want more horse battle! :(
4.Waaaaay like OoT and maybe this its it biggest weakness :(
I know many people wont agree with me on this one, but this game had to be perfect... Well, yesterday I readed in a review " If TP was more than OoT, than the next Zelda game should be more than TP" ;) :D ;D Viva la Nintendo!!!
Personally, I like TP. And I have to say PH was more of a dissapointment. But you have your opinions. Let's just hope and pray that the next game will have...A VIRTUAL REALITY HELMET!!!! (But I doubt it) Still, it doesn't hurt to dream. :)
TP was very disappointing. Undoubtedly the worst Zelda game I've ever played. That's not to say it wasn't good or anything, it's just that Zelda games are excellent, not just good. It always amazes me how after directing, in my opinion, the two greatest Zelda games (MM and TWW) Aonuma could then turn around and direct the worst. Guy pulled a George Lucas.
Man, I could write a whole rant about what I think is wrong with TP. Why, I think I'll do that someday when I have the time.
I actually liked TP. I'm actually just pointing out that there are eleven emoticons in the original post. That's slightly depressing.
Don't get me worng. I'm a big fan of Zelda. I should probably adore the first Zelda. Its just... That I loved the Wind Waker that it just came with the box and even didn't want to play. A game that was dropped on my head by God. Maybe the greatest legend ever told in videogaming... But Twilight Princess... I actually wanted more from it. Something, that would kill TWW good feeling while playing. But this Zelda was just a game. A fun game indeed. But just a game. Not the same... :(
Some of the disappointment could possibly be blamed on the delay. After all, if a game is delayed, the fans are expecting it to be a whole lot better. After a while, though, fans' expectations will never be met, no matter how great the game is. That's a theory that I heard.
I still love the game, though.
I didn't find it nearly as challenging as I expected. It looked pretty, sure, and was still a great game, but it just didn't test me. I'm not sure why I didn't feel it was that alluring. Probably because it didn't challenge me. It just took time. I enjoyed every minute of it, but...I dunno.
Well, there's that. I wouldn't mind it being harder, as well... Of course, to compensate, it would probably be a good idea to not get any Heart Pieces or Heart Containers at all as you play through. It would probably make the Cave of Ordeals impossible, though, but whatever. :P

I agree. If this game was out 2005, it would have been different. :-*
I really enjoyed TP just because it was a Zelda game. I have been playing the Zelda series since, well, forever, and am very attached to them. Yes, I did expect more, but I feel that it would be naive to think that it was a bad game solely because my standards were set too high. The graphics were awesome, the storyline was awesome, the level of intensity, I admit, could have been higher, but I am an optimist. ;) I loved the game.
I actually liked TP quite a bit. It was quite interactive. :D
Not as good as OoT, which is my first and favourite. All it needed was some more dungeons.
I had thoughts on dungeon themes that have never (as far as i know) been done in a Zelda game.
A rainforest/jungle/amazonian theme. It would have ruins and tropical animals and the boss could be ---- wait for it ----- Hyrule's version of Odolwa. Termina is a parallel world with parallel people and enemies, so why on earth not...?
So you don't count Woodfall Temple as a rainforest/jungle/amazonian themed dungeon, eh?
I still want an entire dungeon to be devoted to breaking physics and perception, not just parts of it. Sure, the Stone Tower Temple had the whole "flip the temple upside down" thing going on, but what I want is a dungeon that looks like M.C. Escher designed it.
But I digress.
I found TP to be okay, but it wasn't good enough in my opinion to bump MM and the Oracle games down my list of favorite Zelda games.
Yeah, I suppose you're right but its not the type of 'jungle' I was thinking about. I'd say Woodfall was more 'Forest' than 'Rainforest.' I mean trees as big as Twinmold and colourful plants. Somewhere like the Congo or the Amazon.
You're right that Woodfall is the closest to what I'm after (and in part so was the Forbidden Woods in the Windwaker) however, just not close enough.
I think the biggest disappointments for me were the fact that you automatically held your shield up, and the fact that Ganondorf's attacks didn't give as much damage as they should have. The graphics were great, the music was incredible, that mission to save Colin from king Bublin was as climatic as it got (more nerve-racking on the wii version, that's for sure!), but there were some things of it that seemed...out of place. I mean, Ganondorf took control of Zelda, which he should've done centuries ago, but the final battle...it had to be the worst aspect, because even with that thunder and lightning in the background, I just didn't feel the mood after a while.
Huh. I personally felt that the final battle was the most KA ever. I was disappointed as to how easy it was, but man, it was awesome.
But I do place emphasis on its subpar difficulty. :-*
If only Ganondorf attacked more often, rather than just using his own spin attack on me, which I kinda thought was a rip-off of LINK's technique...other than that, though, it was alright. Remember how his magic attacks would take off 1/4 of your entire health meter in Oot? I think that's how this should've been.
Agreed. It would give the Magic Armor more loving, too.
