Wall-E is going to blow all those out of the water. It's going to win every category at the Oscars and go on to solve world hunger.

Run Fatboy Run sounds like it will be a good movie.  Pity I never get around to going to movie theaters that often, nor do I get around to renting movies.  Because, you know, it requires money.  That thing I don't have.

Anyone need a secretary?

I seen this preview for Prom night, and I think it looks really retarded... so just to warn you people not see it, because it looks really dumb(unless you like horror films, then this would be perfect for you people).

I disagree with your agreement. I think there are a lot of hokey horror movies out there, but there are a good number of well-done ones, too.

It was a generalization based on the trend of current low quality horror films.

Speaking of horror films... I relize that they have been making a lot of them lately! WHY?? They're not good at all.
Title: Re:Movies of 08?
Post by: Twilight Wolf on March 28, 2008, 05:44:45 PM
Horror movies are popular. Film companies know this, so they make their own horror movie to cash in on their popularity. It doesn't have to be good, it just has to be a horror movie.

That's what I think, anyways.

Well, I'd prefer to see something such as Horton hears a who. Not horror films. They give me nightmares(its true).
Title: Re:Movies of 08?
Post by: Fishalicious on March 28, 2008, 06:11:20 PM
Well, I like horror movies that are good and make you think. Psychological horror more than anything.

Like Donnie Darko. Holy crap I love that movie.

Anyway, a lot of horror sucks. It's either gore-gore-gore or just bad special effects and cheesy acting. While some are fun to laugh at (and mute and add your own captions) most of them suck.

I don't remember any of that happening in the book.

Title: Re:Movies of 08?

The male sheep in Ohio are renowned bowhunters. However, the chief's son rejects this title, and decides instead to take up competitive taffy-pulling. He is ostracized from his family and friends, and forced to travel the plains until he finds a large community of squirrels famous for their bow techniques. They embrace his taffy addiction, and take him. All the while, they are secretly teaching him bow techniques without his knowledge. When he returns to his family five years later, they scoff at him. However, when they come under attack by a band of coyotes, he ends up saving them all by killing twenty coyotes with one arrow. They live happily ever after, until they're slaughtered by their owner for the church picnic.

Because it posits that there are tiny, microscopic civilizations living where we cannot see them, which, taken to its logical conclusion, would make the average person responsible for the death of thousands, perhaps millions, of fully sapient organisms.

A truly terrifying reality that would be.

Well, actually... drawing is a talent that is passed down in our family, though with varying degrees- my dad is amazing at drafting/mechanical things, but not much else, mom is great at horses, and I kind of picked up the scraps.

Anyway, Kurt Cobain isn't emo. D: He's grunge. Kurt was actually a really happy person. He named his child "Bean" as her middle name because she looked like a little kidney bean in his wife's womb.

Also, I may go see 21. I like true-but-more-lies-than-anything-else movies. Like Balto.

Well, of course it isn't funny now.  When you explain what the joke is when what the joke is was obvious, it's never funny again.

Also, as I recall, the topic of this thread was not solely dedicated to Prince Caspian; you titled this thread Movies of '08 and you mentioned Indiana Jones 4 and Drillbit Taylor.  However, I do believe you did once start a thread solely about Prince Caspian.

Anywho, if it's an answer you want, I think I'll wait for the novelization of the movie to come out.
