This is comparable to that one topic TP Zelda made.
I was playing against Mags in Brawl a few nights ago, and I didn't win a single match. There were several matches where he didn't even lose a life. :\
I mean-- of course I'm just going to blame the lag, but still... that was pretty humiliating.
I guess you can go ahead and post your recent Brawl losses here as well. NOT YOUR VICTORIES, just your epic, epic losses.
The doctor and I have a fairly even win loss record if memory serves.
Can't think of any funny losses recently.
I was playing as Fox with my friends at her house.
I got my final smash and chased them down on a lower level (it was a built stage).
In short, I got stuck in a tiny little area, then fell backwards into the nothing. >:

any time you lose to my bowser?
Quite frequently, when I play as Marth against my friend Dave, I try to edgehog him. Of course, with Marth's superb speed, his momentum often makes me miss the ledge, making me have to redirect myself...and that often leads to me SDing because of the terrain under the edge and the difficulty of controlling Marth's Up-B.
Bad things happen when I play as Marth, I tell you! :P

Quiet you!
I don't know the game very well. I was playing Mags on...The Halberd, I think? Yeah, I was unaware the platform was going to shoot up and leave, so I kind of stayed on the ground next to it and died.
I don't remember that happening to you. :P
Then again, I think it happened to a lot of people. :P
...Including me. o.o
It was the first match I played alone with you without Scotty. And it wasn't that I was knocked off the platform before it rose, I saw you suddenly run away to the middle of the stage and started chargin' mai lazur, then I died.
Chargin' yur lazur, eh? Who were you playing as, again? XD
Shoop da Whario.
Well, I haven't been on lately (in SSBB) but playing against Mags always lowered my morale. I blame lag, but a win is a win. Everyone else is just LAEM! (please don't kill me GF!)
But yea, Mags was the main one that kicked my butt.
Dude, i pwns you, although your lucas is annoying
ZMG TAHT WA$ R@nD0M!!!!!
WAFFLE MONKEY CHEESE PENGUIN
Yeah, I think we're all familiar with your mom, Tacheon.
Commodore, do you have a job as a waiter? Because you just totally SERVED him! :P
No offense, Tacheon. :)
*suicide*
Actually, my mother does have acute frontal lobe dimentia, so that is quite possibly something she would say. You didn't know, though, so you're off the hook this time. :P
Touché, Tacheon. :P
When it comes to EPIC losses, when I fought Mags, I accidently killed Pit while I had the smash ball-he did that angel ring move and fell off the edge and refused to fly.
Ah, yes. One of the dangers of using Pit: Getting hit in midair, off the edge, after initiating his up-B.
Or was that the Pictochat battle I'm thinking of?
The pictochat battle. You know, when I won.
... Though it was mostly because of the bumper I threw at you. And Latios. And the Angel Army. I failed miserably on many of the others XD
Hey, that's a part of Smash. It is legitimate to get owned by a Final Smash, an Assist Trophy, a bumper, and a Pokemon. :P
Today I was fighting Mags as Diddy and somehow I pwned myself while I was doing Diddy's final smash.
Yeah, that was quite weird. By the looks of it, you were directing it to the right a bit much, and gravity caught up with you. Actually, then again, I'm not sure if the angle had much to do with it...
Still, it was great fighting you. ^^
And speaking of epic losses, today at my youth group, I was fighting against this guy playing Ike. He got the Final Smash. One life gone. He got a Ray Gun. He blasted me to bits, and the hitstun was overwhelming. I tried recovering, but I wager the Wii Remote's function made it come up short. I lost...
Not a biggie, but it was quite irritating. >_>
I lost 3 times to Mags. I too blame the lag, but I have good reason. My three best characters, ToonLink, Fox, and Marth all rely on speed and surprise attacks from surprising angles. The lag robs them of all of that. Still, there is no doubt in my mind that its was ALL because of lag. We tend to forget that Mags is ALSO experiencing the same difficulty, and still he triumphs. I'd love to say I'm a better brawler than mags, but I just can't. I have nothing to back that up but my word and my witnesses. I expect a clean match out of you Magmar fire after you get new internet! :) You'd better believe it.
PS: Tacheon, have you added me? Whats your brawl name, and how close do you live to Cibolo Texas?
He lives about a thousand miles away from Texas.
Say, why doesn't Mags just use a friend's wii to do battle?
Haha, I wonder if ZV and I would have amazing reception-we're really not all that far away.
Also, I was playing with a friend against CP Lucas. I was Lucas. I thought I was CP Lucas, and proceeded to jump off the edge.
"What? How did we get a continue? The computer just jumped off the ed-oh, wait... Sorry Sarah!"
I do that same thing all the time. That is one reason why I dislike doing brawls with more than two people, because I always lose track of who I am. And sometimes I will even (for a few seconds) think I am some character that doesn't even look like the one I am using in that match, but just a character that I use frequently. For example, I often play as Jigglypuff, Zelda, and Diddy. So if I am Jigglypuff and someone else in the match is Diddy, it confuses the hell out of me and my short attention span.

You're not alone brother.
Amen.
:P
Me and Scotty went quite a few rounds with TW and TP Zelda, if I'm not mistaken. TW, you were Sean and TP was Dani, right? I think Mags even got a few rounds in there. Anyways, we kept trying to coordinate teams without being able to talk to each other, so we kept ending up wtih three-on-one matches. It eventually got to where Scotty was against all three of us using Falco, and he actually ended up winning because he got the smash ball. Lucky >.>
NOT TACHEON!
Dang it all my money was riding on Tacheon!
Freedoming Darn you Tacheon!
Yes, you're correct, Shika, Sean was indeed me. That was a fun set of matches! We definitely need to communicate beforehand if we're going to do team battles, though; three-on-one isn't totally fair.
Mags and I battled for a while today, and that was fun! Surprisingly, he didn't beat me as soundly as he normally does, and we actually had a decent connection.
Wow... Wyndisis was really kicking my butt tonight. I managed to make a little bit of a comeback at the end, but still... :\
Although can I tell you how irritating it was that you just whored out Din's Fire with Zelda?
Especially that one time, when you were invincible... <_<

Yeah, I can imagine. Din's fire is a powerful attack, especially when you have the opponent off the edge, but I should have made better use of Zelda's other attacks.

Scotty was flipping out about that, it really irritated him having undeven sides. He was also a bit mad that you stole his character :[
Which one, Falco? Falco's my main, so...
Well, find a new one. That's his main >:( jk jk lol
Falco is the only character I'm really good with. I'm definitely improving with R.O.B., but Falco will be my main for a good while yet.
Mags, your lag is REALLY pissing me off.
I wanna play you Tacheon. I wanna pwn you.
I added your code to my roster.
and: MAGS YOUR FANS WILL BE YOUR DOWNFALL, I SWEAR.

Well, you know what, Tacheon? Deal with it. I'm on a tight budget, and it's not my fault that Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connectors get only 120-135 kB/s connections. >:(
Anyway, MK, yeah. Nice work on three-stocking me. Not often that that happens to me. Kudos. ^^
However, one thing:
NEXT TIME, TURN THE ITEMS OFF. Seriously. Smash Balls aside...Maxim Tomato. Heart Container. Latios and Latias. I do not want to resort to item whoring to actually stay in the game. :'(
So no johns about the fans if you where the one who set items to be on, while I turned them off to try to make the next match more skill-oriented. Really. No johns, MK.
Who is John and what does he have to do with this?
And Mags, why are you so grumpy? Can't you just hard-wire your Wii to the internet, man?
That's certainly something to consider, Mags... you can get USB-Ethernet adapters for the Wii. They're pretty cheap, too. A wired connection is just about guaranteed to work perfectly every time.

Fair enough, fair enough. Next time, we'll play with no items. :)
But srsly, who is John? o.o;
I suppose I could look into USB-Ethernet adapters; I thought only Wi-Fi USB Connectors would work... Heh, didn't know they existed. XD I hope they're compatible with Alltel dial-up.
And good question, MK and Tacheon. In the Smash community, a john is an excuse for losing or not doing well, or it's just an overall complaint on gameplay. I guess it was coined by a guy who had a friend that was complaining about losing or other, and the complainer's name was John. ;)
Mags, if you have an internet router thing, you should be able to hook it up with no problem.

Thanks for clearing that up!!
No complaining here, it was good match. I give you your victory.
For now...
MK, it appears you have yet to add my Brawl code.

Don't think I do have one. We only have dial-up. Dial-up doesn't use routers.
Dial-up, eh?
Figures...
Well, then... I don't know what could help. Sorry to say, Mags, but you're just... stuck.
And Comcast says that it saves people money... Hah... ::)
Guess that means I should look into more ISPs in my area if I feel the urge.
I know there are some high-speed providers that are actually cheaper than dial-up... Do you have cable? If you do, you might be able to get yourself a deal that includes high-speed internet.
You mean cable TV? Yeah, we do, but if we alter the plan, we'd have to pay for all the channels. The people who own our building pay for the cable as part of the "renting package."
Well, I personally think it's stupid to have to pay for TV since it's got so many commercials in it as it is, but still...
Well, just check the high-speed providers in your area and find out which one works best for you. It's better than dial-up, anyways...
Sounds good. I'll do that when I feel up to it, but now I'm kind of stuck with terrible dial-up, and it'd probably take awhile if I were.
