Besides playing video games and the dreaded school, I have the glorious opportunity to go to a few free concerts.
One of which was today.
Panic!'s Honda Civic Tour.
Pretty Sweet.
The Hush Sound signed my Crossword Converse.
They had fun filling in the squares. ;D
Concerts anyone?
Favs? Least favs?
It's hard for me to go to concerts because most of the bands I like are in their 50's and such.
On a bright note, I got to see Rush in Concert.
Epic...
All my favourite bands are either in Europe, or wouldn't think of coming here. They all go to Corpus, which is a 30 minute drive away. >_> and cost an arm and a leg to go to.
oh, and listening to Metallica or Ozzy live = no. >: Ozzy just killed his voice, and Metallica just.. doesn't sound as good. XD
I'm not really a big fan of giant gobs of people and loud noises, so together...
I dont get to go that much because the nerest place to me where gigs are regular is London, which is like one hour and a half by train.
But I have been to Glastonbury, a 3-4 day festival a good 3 or four hours away from where I live but I stayed in a caravan on site and loved it.
It's Britains biggest music festival and tickets are a good £80-£100 (I got in free because of my age). It was awesome.
I've also been to WOMAD but that was more of a cultural festival, lots of african drumming.
I live about 10 minutes away from a House of Blues, and my friend's mom works there.
Sweet deal.
I've only been to one real concert: My Chemical Romance. Under Oath, Rise Against, and Taking Back Sunday opened for them. It was totally awesome. However, I'm not totally if Under Oath was actually there, or if we just missed them because we didn't get into the building in time. (That was one long line...) To my knowledge, it's the only major band that has ever come to Reno! Hooray for living in a boring city!
Eh.
I live in South Carolina.
Go figure. Tourist City man.
And we've had quite a few major bands, such as FallOutBoy, Panic!, Evanescence, Nickleback, Reel Big Fish, etc.
I live in a tourist town... unfortunately, the only tourists we get are old people and people who like beaches filled with garbage.
Seriously, I don't know why they haven't noticed that everything left in the streets gets dumped in the bay. >_>
So, old people don't like loud things. Or children on their lawn. Therefore, we don't really get concerts.
I got to see Jimmy Page live once.
I was like ten years old at the time, but still pretty awesome, right?
OMG - I would LOVE to live in a place where I could go to a concert! I live pretty much in the boonies. LOL Full 45 minutes to the nearest Wal-mart... one hall-way in my school (K-12 by the way).
If I could, I would definately be going to a Three Days Grace concert. ;D Amazing...

Now I'm going to make you guys come to a Tokio Hotel concert lol
So I just got home from seeing Panic At The Disco in concert. It was pretty awesome. I stood in the front (right next to the speakers!) all through the opening acts, who were all pretty good, but since they played for a long time, I got too tired to stand for very long while Panic was actually playing, so I had to sit down again. I did make it through their first couple of songs, though, and I got to see all of them much better from where I was sitting. Then I went back down for the last song. It was great concert.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, someone Rickroll'd everyone there. There was a big screen on the stage that would display your text messages if you sent them to a certain number, so someone texted the lyrics to "Never Gonna Give You Up." It was pretty funny.
You know what somebody should have texted?

That is amazing.
When I went, a few people asked for someone to marry them. And as a joke someone replied "No."
Everyone got Rickroll'd at the concert? That's freaking fantastic. XD
I wonder if there's a YouTube video of it up? I would certainly like to see that part.

Here's what I posted on buzznet...
Ok, so, me my bff Maureen, bro, and Emily, went to a Panic at the Disco concert and OMG it was so fecking fun! My cousin was there (but I didn't see him) and there was this screen where you could text messages so they'd show up on there, and my cousins friend texted "Ethan Carly and Maddie rule!" and i screamed lol. ANYWAY, like, halfway through the actual concert with PatD, this crazy insane dude, he BURST through the crowd, just trampling people over like he was king of the world. Then he was all jumping up and down and shizz and then he started pushing people around, then at least 10 other girls and me and my friends started pushing him back and flying everywhere, then he got really pissed and started picking a fight with someone and this one girl I met tried to break it up but he just knocked her out of the way then he got kicked out. But the funny part was my friends were screaming and clinging on to each other when the fight started lol And there was this one really cute guy there but I never got a chance to stand next to him...Darn XD Like, I wanted to when the fight broke out...Gosh I'm so boy-crazy =p LOL! Me and Maur were so close to touching Ryan's hand, too. I'll try to get some pics up sometime There were also these girls there, and one was screaming/singing at the top of her lungs. Her breath smelled like beer. Her friend said it was her bday. I think they were lezzes cause her other friend was all like up against us and stuff. And she was all looking at us funny. And then this girl came up and was all like looking at her like "Wtf
dogman you're insane plz stfu"
MOD EDIT: You know that word (the one replaced by the bolded one) isn't allowed. Warning received.
It's nice to have you back, though. ^^
To revive this topic, I got to see Shiny Toy Guns in concert tonight. It was pretty cool, but I think it could have been better.
For one, they were playing in a club, so it was small, thus resulting in lots of people packed together. Makes me glad I didn't go on the dance floor; if a fight started (which is very likely since there was a bar in there and a bunch of people got drunk), I don't think I could get out. I'd also prefer not to have people constantly bumping into me while I'm trying to enjoy the show.
Second, since I was by the wall, the stage was angled to me, making it a little harder to see. Then a bunch of really tall guys decided to cluster in front of me, so I had to twist my neck at a bunch of odd angles just to see, so my neck is pretty sore now. On top of these issues, the stage was also absolutely smothered in smoke, so it was hard to see the band at all.
Third, the walls were all brick. Very bad acoustics in there.
In spite of these obstacles, however, it was a very enjoyable show all around. Both of the opening bands and Shiny Toy Guns all did a really good job. And for $15 a ticket (way cheap compared to most bands nowadays), it's quite the bargain.
I've never been to a concert before.
who doesn't love concerts? My favorite concert has to be the Metallica one
My aunts went to the Metallica concert. The only thing I didnt like about Metallica was their vocals.
