Why video game cutscenes should be eliminated. (http://www.cnet.com/8301-13506_1-9904603-17.html)
Metal Gear is doing it wrong.
Can't you skip most cutscenes in games anyway? This is the most ridiculous thing to get upset about.
Well, I can understand getting upset over not being able to skip cutscenes when you've already played the game, but really?
OH NOES CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!
We run into that problem all the time on HA2. Nobody wants to do anything but fight on there. It gets kind of annoying. I actually enjoy cutscenes.
...
Except for the ones in Final Fantasy X. I never want to hear Tidus laugh again.
Ignore his voice and replace it with someone else's. Like Christopher Walken or Derek Zoolander.

Not in D2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D2_%28video_game%29). Some of the cutscenes are half an hour or more long, and all you can do is pause them.
Also, to my knowledge, you can't skip cutscenes in Enemy Zero (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enemy_Zero), either. I should know, I've played all the way through it, and that game is very FMV-heavy.
Uhhh, I don't think you can skip cutscenes in Silent Hill 2, 3, or 4, but I've never, you know, tried.
And some of them are awfully long, too, but it doesn't really matter, as the games are meant to be more like an interactive movie/overall cinematic. Thus, annoying cameras that change whenever something happens.

I'm pretty sure you can.
Actually, you can't. But in Final Mix, you can skip them only after you've seen them already, but I doubt anyone here owns that version...
Are you suuuuuure?
Does this face look unsure to you!? (http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n71/MagmarFire/linkhorror.gif)
Exceedingly.
Maybe it was KH2 I was thinking of. You can skip cutscenes in that, right?
No?
Yes, in KHII, you can.
