Title: Tacheon's mad Portal skizills
Post by: Keaton on June 16, 2008, 09:22:28 PM
So.  I got bored and decided to do a speed run of Portal:  From the time when you first enter the level where you receive the second (orange) attachment to the Portal device until the time when you pass through the little gate-incinerator-thing and see GLaDOS' true form for the first time.

Guess how long it took me.

29:22.3

That's right, 29 minutes and 22.3 seconds.  I'm pushing for an even faster time.  Depending on how many of you want a FRAPS video of me trying to cut down my time, I might publish that.

So...?

I bought a copy of Portal on Saturday, actually. I wish I could get it to work... I wanna play it. Badly.

Oh, and "rock on" and such for having such mad skills.

I saw the title and I misread it as your mad Postal skills.  I was a bit freaked out.

But that's a nice run.  I've yet to play Portal but I really want to.

For you achievement, you get a brownie. (The cookie jar's empty)

On a more relevant note, Portal is definate proof that a game doesn't need to be long to be good.

Just like FF-X is proof that a game doesn't need to be good to be long.

Just like [game that Shika likes] is proof that a game doesn't need to be good at all.
