It's my secret television obsession. Great plot, terrible acting... what do you all think of the show?

Cartoon Network. In a brief summary (by me), a few kids in France find a supercomputer in an abandoned factory-- attached to a series of 'digitization' chambers. Upon entering the chambers, they find themselves as avatars in cyberspace, in a place known as "Lyoko". There, they find a kind young girl named Aelita, and a lurking malevolent entity known as Xana.

Sounds rather interesting. It almost sounds like a videogame story. lol

...the whole premise is that they essentially are in a video game.

I've never read that book, but presumably so.

It's like Neal Stephenson's "Snow Crash".
