Title: Are they really?
Post by: Axel on July 13, 2008, 08:45:19 AM
I read on the main site of this forum that they where making some movies that nintendo has owned. Are they really making a metroid, zelda, and mario movie? I hope the new one is better than the last one. That was horid.

Wow you have a weird taste of movies. XD But yea, I must admit, that part was cool... Hopefully the Zelda movie is great, I think Peter Jackson should direct it.

Did you know that Peter Jackson was originally supposed to direct the Halo movie?  They had to cancel it though, I don't remember why.

Wait, they canceled that?? And yes, as a matter of fact, I did know that. I wish they didn't cancel it, I was looking forward to it. :(

I am somewhat skeptical about a Zelda movie unless it is fan-made. I'm just not sure how the big screen can shine out the same kind and intensity of magic that Zelda has shone for over twenty years...

I wouldn't be surprised, I heard they're making a live-action Kiki's Delivery Service in 2009.

While we're on the topic of movies based off video games, they've been working on a second Silent Hill movie. It's based off the third game. (which is a direct sequel to the first game)

I know I'm the only one who cares in the slightest, but nonetheless... I still want to see a Restless Dreams or The Room movie, since I like the even-numbered games better.

Remember back when there was supposed to be a Metroid movie directed by John Woo? What that hell happened with that?

It had better not be live action if they make a Zelda movie. It'd have to be Final Fantasy: Advent Chidren animation quality, and it probably wouldn't hit theaters.

That one that legends and adventures was making or is making looked pretty good for unheard actors and directors.

Yeah, I know. But it's fan made, and like I said, I'm more at ease about it being fan made than officially made.

If you want a live-action Zelda movie, get "Zelda's Adventure" for the CD-i. That's as close as you'll get to an official live-action movie.
