Title: The Faceless Atari Jaguar Controller
Post by: Twilight Wolf on July 22, 2008, 03:43:13 PM
I downloaded GIMP not long ago, and while I was messing around with it, I made this:

It's nothing terribly amazing, but it was my first real project with a photo-editing program that isn't Paint, and I liked the way it turned out, so I figured I'd share it with you guys.

Here's the original:

My picture's ironic because the original controller had a crapload of buttons. Get it now?

Also, I'm going to be working to make other faceless controllers and even start on some faceless game consoles. I'll post them here when I'm done.

I see... interesting use of the clone tool.

The clone tool was really all I used, actually. The textured plastic of the controller made the whole project a bit more complex than I had reckoned, due to the way the light looked on it, but I figured it out. It was fun to do, really.

messing with stuff is always fun, especially when it somehow furters your abilities. :D

I couldn't agree more! That's why I love tinkering with programs like this.

I'm working on a faceless SNES controller as I'm typing this, so it should be done fairly soon.
