If you could travel to five countries for free, which ones would they be and why?
Mine:
Ireland-Always seemed like a beautiful place to go. Plus I have a large Irish heritage.
Japan-Because Im a huge anime freak.
Scotland-For the same reason as Ireland
Germany-Because my grandma was in Germany for a long time and told me it was beautiful, and I also have German heritage.
England-My science teacher was came from England and said it was very beautiful, and I have English ancestors.
As you can see Im quite the mutt. ;)
Woot! For Irish and German heritage! :D
As for me:
Japan - Because I'm a huge anime freak as well, and all of my favorite videogames were made there. ;)
Germany - Because of my German heritage, and I'd finally get to try out some German-speaking with natives.
Australia - They have the coolest accents and plus, it's supposed to be a really nice, warm climate.
China - They have a very interesting culture. I've always been fascinated with Asian culture. :)
Ireland - Seems like a nice place to go. I heard it rains alot there, but oh well. Plus, I'm Irish. (Irish, Polish, German, French, Swedish, and native American (I don't know what tribe or whatever, but I recently found out from my mom.)
Im German, Irish, Native American, English, French, and Scottish.
I hadn't even thought about Australia! Good choice!
Ooh! Ooh!
1. Japan - Big anime/video game nerd
2. England - Landmarks, people I know
3. Iraq - To see if I could get a chance to talk to troops, though I doubt I could get the media to follow me.
4. Germany - Heritage
5. Spain - Looks interesting
Ooh Spain! I hear that it's beautiful there.
Ireland: It's a beautiful country. I have a lot of Irish heritage, and some of my cousins live over there.
Japan: It's a fascinating country where ancient culture and cutting-edge technology blend together. Plus I'd like to pick me up a whole bunch of video games and consoles I can't get in the States easily.
England: So much history! I'd love to visit some of the places the Beatles went, too.
As for the other two... I'll get back to you.
Let' see here...
1) Italy - Heritage from here, so I gotta go there
2) Japan - I like Anime, Manga, Nintendo... why not?
3) England - England is just cool, so I would like to go there... a lot of famous landmarks and such.
4) India - Lotsa landmarks, supposedly quite beautiful, I say let's go!
5) Israel - Religious significance, and i would lvoe to see Jerusalem.
1. USA - more specifically, Centralia, PA. I know I live in the US, but that doesn't mean I don't want to visit some places. Uh, there's a lot of reasons to visit-I really just want to see the underground coal fire and all that.
2. Canada - I don't go far from home, apparently-anyway, Canada is awesome. I just... I don't know how to describe it. I love Moosen, and cold weather.
3. FINLAND. Because cold weather is awesome.
4. Germany. I SUCK AT EXPLAINING THINGS.
5. England. yes to all of the above comments.

Like that Tingle game with a really long name? (I'd actually like to get it, too. I don't like ordering stuff over the internet)
Also, stuff in Japan is much better. Like movies, the Japanese version of the Grudge is much better than the English.
If I do go to Japan, I think I'll pick up all the Zelda Manga I can. Can't read it, but whocares?!
aha, off-topic, but whenever people talk about Japanese versions of things, I immediately think of bad Engrish. I know they'd speak in Japanese, but...
I'd go to Japan, but I don't like to be touched/hate crowds, so I'd probably flip out.
Russia, I'd love to return to the motherland.
Germany, to test out my linguistic skills.
Japan, because as a whole they seem about (if not more) screwed up as me.
Sweden, because their women are statistically the most beautiful (coughandeasycough) in the world.
Lebanon, because while I was there I thought it was one of the most beautiful places (scenically speaking) I'd ever been to.
Double-Edit: Wait, nevermind that. <_<
;D You have a very unique list... I was going to say some of those, but I ran out of room.
1. France - Hey I'm french, deal with it.
2. Canada - Canada is awesome
3. Netherlands - To perhaps meet a certain someone in person, and the CAFES!
4. England - For some random reason that I'd rather not divulge right now
5. Mexico - Please see Tijuana.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Also, for a moment I thought you said you wanted to go to Mexico to get some marijuana.
Mexico is nice. I would love to go to some Aztec/Mayan ruins there. When we were in Cancun [me and my family] they offered it as a tour, but it was too expensive for us.
I was going to put Russia on my list but ran out of space ;)
Russia is an amazing country. There are literally hundreds of things to go see.
So I hear. I did a small report on it once.
Alas, I've never been outside of the U.S.
I've actually never even been outside of the state of Florida.
I know you all want to go to England just to see me, I don't blame you.
Anyway this was kinda hard as I want to go EVERYWHERE:
-Togo - During the football world cup, I chose a random country to cheer for because I didn't want to support England, actually I chose the one with the funniest sounding name. Anyway they lost all their matches because they started arguing about who was getting payed while they were playing, but gained me as a life long fan, I'd love to go there.
-Italy - I've been there a couple of times, but would love to see more of it, especially the art.
-Cuba - Just to see those building tall pictures of my idol, plus it looks gorgeous, hot weather, sand, clear seas, yum.
-Kuwait - Some of my family lives over there and I've always wanted to visit.
-A Random South pacific island - Yeah, I've been watching too much shipwrecked but I would love to spend some time on one of those gorgeous islands, don't mind which one. I'm a sucker for heat and the sea.
There are a bunch of other countries too, but nowhere landlocked, it's weird, maybe because I've lived by the sea my entire life but when I went to Austria I hated it because I just couldn't see the sea anywhere, and I knew it wasn't there if you know what i mean. Just mountains.
I also want to go to the Galapagos Islands, Sierra Leone, Japan, Iceland, Greenland, Greece, Brazil and a million more places.
We're the same when it comes to wanting to go everywhere, but on the climate conditions, we're different. For example, I despise the heat, down here in Florida it's about 85 degrees ALL year, winter included. And then it gets to the 90s when summer hits and sometimes touches 100-105. Not the hottest place in the world, but I hate it none-the-less.
Japan- Huge anime otaku and I'm learning Japanese, so lots of practice.
Portugal- Lots of heritage there. I'm about 80% Portuguese.
France- Been there before and I've been lusting to go back. It was beyond beautiful and wonderful there.
Brazil- I have some relatives there, rather distant ones, mind you. One of my grandpa's brothers moved there rather than to America.
England- Went there in a joint trip to France. I really like the feel of that place.
Is it true that foreign countries like France are rude to Americans? Im no racist and Im sure it sounds stereotypical but Im curious as to weather the rumors are true.
I've never been there, but my girlfriend has been. She didn't complain of any rudeness, so I think not.
Italians hate Americans, but they love Texans.
Of course, that's only from what I've heard from our family friend Jim.
Not in my experience. In fact, the average person seemed more willing to chat than the average person here. Although, they hate Bush with a passion. An intense passion.
Well who doesn't?
I've never experienced any rudeness while in France for being British, and in history Britain and France didn't really get along. In my experience the French are very rude in queues though, always shoving in. And Italians are very vicious drivers.
But they're lovely people anyway, nicer than British people.
I find British people very unhospitable and sometimes quite rude to foreigners.
The nicest people I've ever met are Americans actually, they were very sweet when I went to America.

Nah, that's not really my kind of game. What I'm thinking of is more along the lines of a cool Japanese Saturn (they cost a fortune in shipping from Japan), games which are much cheaper to purchase the Japanese version of (Panzer Dragoon Saga is a perfect example) and some games I can't easily get in America (mainly some obscure titles that pretty much nobody outside of Japan has played/heard of, like a train simulation game they had).
Yeah I agree, I've seen American movie remakes and they pretty much suck. And then there's the game factor, for example, Nintendo said that Pokemon Diomond and Pearl were the last hand held pokemon games. Yet all over the internet there are pictures of two new Japanese pokemon games. It may be a fluke, but since Nintendo is Japan based, they have authority over whether or not the game goes to America.
