They mean no more work for me. o: (no, it's not really a hurricane hitting us- it's hitting lower, I think. Hurricane Dolly. She just brought us a "purple band" of HEAVY rain. it was raining sideways!)
I really wish I brought my camera- the beach pavilion was flooding inside and out. The parking lot was gone, so we had to park on the grass and drive through it until we could get out via the parking lot brand new pool.
I still got paid for the day and a half we're canceled for.
So you basically got free money? That's pretty sweet.
Yeah, it's way better than the money you have to buy.
It was probably only $36 free, so it's not super good, but...
I don't know, I really wanted to strangle some of the kids I worked with... And others I lol'd at.
There were 3 Alessa (the devil girl from Silent Hill), a Mason (devil girl's dad), and a Henry (main character in SH4) in the latest class.
I missed the SH kids from group one, though, they were nice. (And as a bonus, there were a few X-men kids-Logan, Xavier, Scott...)
Its raining so hard outside!!
There's already a river where the street should be!
This is gonna be one hell of a hurricane!
(and I love storms)
I was going to ask you guys how the weather was, but I don't need to now.
I hope it turns out all right for you both.
Should be fine-it's hitting the very tip of Texas near Brownsville, and even then it's only a level 2. o: 100 mph winds is probably the worst part. Even then, I'd probably only worry about Julius, since he likes to sleep on the table outside-might flip or something.
There was a water spout near Corpus earlier, though. Which... I wouldn't consider dangerous unless you were on a boat. Of course, most of the natives here are just like "Meh" while the tourists are going insane! I feel bad for the nesting Skimmers, though-they're all on the ground, ready to die for their eggs.
A few tourists that passed by at Artlink earlier got on National television for filming the sideways rain over by the pavilion.
Oh, haha, I just realised that we got our house near where ZV was because of a hurricane flooding the creek. :V Good luck with that.
Hurricane Charlie was the worst we ever had down here, or at least thats the worst I've seen since I've been alive.
But its been raining non-stop pretty hard since last night. Maybe its a tropical storm or sumthin. I dont really watch the news, unless its bad news. I dont like good news...
Well I live up in New York, so I never really experiences a hurricane before...
The worst I ever had was when a hurricane (forgot the name... it started with a b) blew in after dying down to a tropical storm. It took the roof off of my porch and threw it straight into my neighbors backyard. :o
My old neighbor used to have hurricane parties.
And this one time, I was at my friends house and this drunk was walking around outside during a hurricane, and he was like askin us,
"Waz goin on boys? Isz relly winny."
And we started laughing at him, and he was all like
"Diz na funnna."
Good times.
The worst hurricane for me was Hurricane Isabella back in September 2003. It took out most of our fence and we spent the next two days repairing it.
After charlie we got two more, and they knocked down this HUGE tree straight across the road. And when my cousin and I went to go clean t up we found three baby squirrels all cuddled together. We put them in a shoebox and took turns every week feeding them milk. Two ended up dying but the last one we eventually released.
Well, the wind started blowing in the opposite direction today. It's not omg horrible, but I find it a little strange-being a short walk from Copano Bay, the wind almost always goes the other way.
We also tied the chairs to the table so Julius won't blow away.
Who's Julius?
Julius is my fat orange cat. He lives on the table/chairs outside, so we had to make sure they wouldn't fall over and make him sad.
Dawwwww. I love cats.
Why is he outside though? I mean, wouldn't you bring him inside for the hurricane?
He's a stray, I guess. I mean, he's neutered and he lets us pet him, but he's still quite iffy on us picking him up and the like-I brought him inside once and he had a fit.
We brought Fluffy, Ra, and Cinnamon in, though. (Cinnamon decided to not come in until it became the most inconvenient for me. u_u) Sabrina and Julius are okay outside-they hide under the house, or in the garage or something.
I feel really bad for our dog, though, since she refuses to use her barrel for shelter-she instead got soaking wet.
Awww. Our kitties never leave my room when a hurricane hits. They get scared. And our bearded dragon hides under his log.
I have never been in a hurricane but I am posting here anyways to let you know I haven't.

I never heard of a bearded dragon before, but now I want one.
How could you have never heard of a bearded dragon? ::)
You don't get a whole lot of discovery channel do you?
Oh, and nice JDog impression AwesomeNinja, I almost bought it.

I usually only watch it for Mythbusters.
And thank you, MajoraKirby.
Ohh, yeah, good program. Also, we're kind of getting off topic, lets veer this back on the right track.
We just had some thunder that shook the whole house, and we're expecting tornadoes in our area. Wish me death! :D
I wish it. Happy nao?
Thanks.
Anyways, to thicken my post up here, its still raining and thundering outside pretty hard. It sounds like a bunch of horses racing around my house... and... they're all... pissing on my windows... :-*
Thats uh, pretty disturbing. Maybe you could, like, shoot the horses or sumthin?
We had some lightning last night. I know a hurricane/tropical storm is nowhere near here at the moment, but it was still like a giant strobe light was out there.
I had lightning come through my window once.
Wow!! That really scary! A tree almost fell over and hit our house once when we lived in Michigan. It was scary as hell! The sounds it made when it fell... :-[
Was it in a ball, MajoraKirby? (Serious question.)
