Why do you think humans develope bonds with eachother? Is it for comfort or because of our animal instinct telling us to mate? What?!
Humans are by nature, social creatures
But there has to be a reason behind that? What makes someone want to be near another? Why do we desire so much to develope bonds with others?
God said be fruitful and multiply, meaning we should work hard and make more humans, that explains it well enough :D
I guess, it just seems, gappy.
Well, you can't multiply without being social
I guess your right...

Not true.
Sperm banks.
I think it's an instinct, but not for reproduction only. Otherwise we wouldn't seek others of the same sex at all. I think it may have started as a survival thing; humans were weak and fleshy, while all these big strong animals with teeth and claws were running around. We had to group together or be killed. Now it's more for enjoyment, I think.
That seems logical.

You have to talk to the people at the sperm bank, that's being social
In a way I guess.
Almost all animal species have to live in groups in order to survive. It's not just to fight off animals, but to act as a collective unit where certain tasks are assigned to certain parts of the group, ants and bees for example.
Humans are like dogs-we are pack animals.
Look at chimpanzees, for example-they are in large social groups most of the time. It's not for protection, it's for company.

I'm quite sure we fulfilled that objective already, and as it turns out, it's that objective being taken
way too seriously that's hastening the world's destruction.
