Title: Classical Appreciation Club
Post by: Keaton on July 28, 2008, 10:13:33 PM
YO

Only post here if you have an above-average appreciation for classical.  I do NOT mean the Rolling Stones or any audiosodomy like that, I mean the REAL classics.  Case in point:

Mozart
Beethoven
Bach
Faure
Liszt
Chopin
Tchaikovsky
Rachmaninoff
etc.

Heck, even Aaron Copland counts, I'm not that picky.

Preferrably, post your favorite composer, your favorite song of theirs, and a link to that song-- along with why you like it.

ANY POSTS NOT ON-TOPIC, ANYTHING MOCKING OF CLASSICAL OR PROMOTING ANY RIVAL FACTIONS OF MUSIC WILL BE BALEETED OR EDITED TO MAKE YOU LOOK STUPID.

Go.

So, which torrents of mine have you downloaded so far?

Debussy and french music are my favorites. Chamber music in particular is something that I favor greatly, like with Faure's chamber music. I've collected a lot, though I'm unsure what more there is for me that I'd want.

Also, you and are probably the only ones who are gonna post here :\

I quite enjoy Mozart when I hear him. Serenade No. Thirteen is particularly a favorite in my family, it seems. But I love John Williams's music, too.

Say, would Koji Kondo, Yoko Shimomura, Nobuo Uematsu, Toru Minegishi, and others be considered classical composers, too? They are quite known for composing such.

I heard Mozart in class once, and his music was pretty nice... it was just so natural... quite enjoyable.

I have heard Beethoven too, but he isn't as good as Mozart, if I remember correctly.

My, this is one of the best-- and in fact one of the few good-- modern classical attempts.
