I fixed it so that people without Flash will get the old banner, and a message to GET FLASH OR ELSE! >:( For now, it's only on the main page, though. Must collaborate with GF again soon.

Ah, hmm... It's hard to "fix" it for slow internet. I suppose I could slap a preloader on it... might help, but, I don't think so actually. You could turn off Flash and it wouldn't load, then turn it on when you need it. I'll look a better solution up meanwhile.
EDIT:: I've got nothing. A search for some way to recognize connection speed and act accordingly with Flash yielded nothing. From what I can tell, your best option is to turn Flash off.
EDIT:: FIXED! People with slow banners will now have the option to play/pause the animation. Should help those of you who have this problem.
