Title: Disaster strikes
Post by: HylianHero92 on August 28, 2008, 02:09:08 PM
Summer went way to fast. But I'm not complaining 'cause it totally sucked!
The things that happened this summer:

~Nintendo totally screwed over they're loyal fans
~Nintendo Power promises great games unveiled every other month and only gives us bull-crap.
After that nothing really happened until I went on vacation for a week. On vacation:
~ My Dad trips on a rock and now has trouble breathing.
~ I find out I might be going insane.
When I came back:
~ I get the worst schedule in existence for school with all the worst teachers, 7th period lunch, and 9th period Gym. I can see myself now, throwing-up the contents of my lunch all over the gym floor.

~ Once I get the mail I find out Nintendo Power has totally screwed me over again, drowning all my hopes of a new Zelda within the next millennium in a pool of misery and dispair.

~ To my dismay and shock, my best friend's Grandpa died in a car crash totally unexpectedly, making me even more depressed.

It's not that bad, the Wario game sounds pretty good, it's not like the end of the world because nintendo didn't announce a new zelda this summer. 'lol nintendo didn't announce a new zelda, the series is cancelled  forever!'

Wario Land is the least of my problems.

No matter what happens, middle school will always turn out to be a horrible, horrible time that you'd rather really not think about.

Sucks about your friend's grampa dying though.

Indeed. I give my condolences.

Still, why focus on the negative things this year and not the positive? More likely than not, you'd be less depressed than you are now.

So... You come to vent, and yet you don't expect us to feel bad for you?

...

DOMAIN ERROR.

C'mon, you're a member of the family, man! You both are! :)

Thanks guys.  :)

But you really should feel more bad for CacturneRules.

As bad as my summer was, I'm sure his was worse.

I just learned my grandpa might not make it through the day.

Things have been turning to the worst for me recently.

Ah, shoot... It's not much to say to lift your mood, but I hope he enjoys his final hours. :-*

Thanks for trying! :) We've been expecting for quite a while, but it's still kinda sad. I understand that it's just his time to go and, while I'll miss him very much, I have to accept he's gone and leave it at that. I know he'll be happier when he dies then he has been the last couple months.
His life is over. He's had a good life. It's just time for him to go.

I feel your pain, bradah. and when my grandpa passed away, my dad told me something that really helped. "Your grandpa wouldn't want you to get all upset, and feel bad all the time. He would want you to remember all the good times and not a horrible one." in other words, he would want you to be happy.

Could you elaborate? What type of illness does he have?

I think it's congestive heart failure. All I know is that as of now all his major organs are shut down. He is being kept alive by only machines.

Well, when you said, "His life is over," I assumed you meant that he his no longer alive. Hence the "over."

I meant his life in general was at it's conclusion.

My grandpa died earlier today while I was in school. Although it was expected, I'm still extremely saddened. :(

I hate to be a backseat mod, but leave the spammy stuff to the Chatboard please.

Also, nobody is under any obligation to post here.

Edit: This is obviously addressed at your recent edit. I meant no offense to your grandfather, and you have my condolences.

I was really depressed before and took it out on you guys. I'm really sorry! You guys don't have to post here. I took out the part I wrote when I was sad 'cause I looked back on it and realized it was stupid and I didn't mean it. Sorry!

Wait a minute! Do you mean me asking where everyone else was or when I wrote I was mad at people for ignoring this topic? I've erased both just in case. Sorry again!

Dude, don't worry about it. We've seen worse. MUCH MUCH worse. Go on and grieve, it's your grampa after all, so whatever.

I've thought about it for a while and figured my Grandpa would want me to enjoy my life now instead of grieving for things in the past.
Yes, that does sound like something he'd say. Not to mention he's probably much happier now.

that's basically what i said. And i 'm really sorry about your grandpa...

...and i haven't been ignoring the topic, I've been sick and/or grounded for the last few days, and this is like, the first time i've been on.
