Title: This topic brought to you by...

...Google Chrome.  It's pretty awesome.  The speed is comparable to Firefox (if not a teeny bit faster), and the layout is pretty stylin'.  The only problem I have with it is that, when trying to read TDC, the HTML and CSS gets all muffed up.  I think that's just a problem with TDC's coding, however.  Transparency works great, so it's already working better than Internet Explorer, and it's got a bunch of smart features, like automatically filling in forms with information it has learned and showing a "most visited sites" thing whenever you open a blank tab.

It automatically imports your settings from FF, IE, and Opera.

I want to marry it.

Son, it's when a man suddenly has the urge to act like a woman.

I think it has something to do with liking muffins. Or being a merkin.

How about Opera? It does everything Google Chrome can do and more.

I'm considering switching back to Opera since Firefox has been crashing on me a lot lately.

Chrome leaves Opera int he dust, speed-wise.

Even GIF's load faster here.

Doesn't Google Chrome lack the ability to display Flash? That's a big deal-breaker right there.

Nope, they fixed that.  The banner at the top's working perfectly for me, for example.

Also, just look.

I don't need this magical "porn mode."

You, on the other hand, probably find it useful, I'm sure.

Also, I'm happy to see I'm not the only Vista user here.

*does the porn dance*

But seriously kids, looking at pornographic materials under the age of eighteen isn't just wrong, it's illegal.  By going through the back alleys (no innuendo intended) and getting it freely and illegally, you're cheating the respectable pornography business out of billions of dollars each year.  The women have already been cheated out of their dignity, don't steal their money as well.

Last I read, I was only talking to the underage people.

I don't know what you mean by that.

I personally don't pay for porn, but I could if I wanted to.  Underage people can't, they're not allowed to legally.

But let's get off this subject (even though I was the one to bring it up) before it veers down the dark path to warnability.

Sounds good to me, Tacheon.

Anyways, I think I'll give Google Chrome a try, just for the heck of it.

EDIT: Holy crap, I'm not used to having the forums that wide.

Do it.  Just... view OTHER sites besides TDC in order to give Chrome a chance.  As I said, I think there's a coding problem that's pissing Chrome off for some reason.

I wonder if it's the same coding problem that's causing the issues with...

FIREFOX 3?

Also, .png images seem to load slowly, which makes my YouTube channel look funny.

EDIT: Here's what I think of this web browser so far.

Google Chrome is faster, more compact, and uses much less memory than Firefox. All very good things. However, there's no menu bar at the top (the one with "File," "Edit," "Bookmarks," etc.), so I can't do things like look at my browsing history, and I can't figure out how to turn it on, if it's possible. Also, the only search option that I've got is Google, unless I go and set my default search engine to something else. I really miss that search bar Firefox has.

Summary: Google Chrome is really nice for a relatively new web browser, but it could definitely use a few more features and tweaks before it would ever become my main browser. For now, it's back to Firefox.

Ya know, they have accessories and such that can change those issues.

How hard are they to install and set up, though?
