JDog, I know you're going to read this so pay attention.
When you are banned from a forum, regardless of what people say in lieu of your banning, does not give you any right to rejoin the forums to address every joke about you. When you're banned from a forum, it means you are not welcome anymore because you broke the rules which are well established. Coming back, is a violation of the banning, and is more or less, a big nuisance.
We will not give you "Another chance" as it would be a slap in the face to others who were banned for less petty reasons. I hate to drag up old issues, but bgrugby, was banned, but was banned for handling an issue he felt passionately about the wrong way. You, who has had a history of blowing up at us when we criticize you, or offer a bit of blunt advice, has no room to bargain after being warned time after time to cut it out.
I can't stop you from making new profiles on these forums as your IP has some sort of security measure that changes it all the time. However, if you persist in continuing to harass us with new accounts, we will have to take action against you.
Don't take this to mean that I'm telling you to stop browsing the forums. What I'm trying to tell you is that a forum ban means you're banned from showing up publicly at these forums.
We don't know how long it's going to be until he next shows, so I'll go ahead and sticky this for a week or so.
Eventually he's going to realize that he might as well just create another account and pretend it's not him and just a new member, and try as hard as he can to not talk about JDog (and if he does say he should have been banned), use his best gramar and spell correctly as many times as possible, and try not to break the rules he broke so many times (or any rules, for that matter). This is likely not going to change anything. And we can't just use a new account having a weird thing that changes their IP address all the time as proof that its JDog, it could be someone else.
What did you say, Whocares? I couldn't make head or tails of that gibberish you just posted.
It's pretty easy to tell who someone is if it's someone we already know. Jdog really isn't too bright, you see.
Whocares' post made perfect sense to me, JQ, I don't know what you're talking about. It's like you have some kind of grudge against him.
And I think that JDog would be damn near invisible if he just used better grammar and... a different email.
QuoteWhocares' post made perfect sense to me, JQ, I don't know what you're talking about. It's like you have some kind of grudge against him.
...I nominate you for Best Member of 2008. Now you have to put "Nominated by Whocares for best membe '08" on the bottom of your sig, like I did when Commodore elected me.
While I am going to mention once again that it is pointless to just tell JDog to stop, perhaps a better plan it to completely ignore anyone claiming to be JDog altogether. If we don't even mention JDog anymore, than he won't have a reason to come here, or he'll do all the stuff me and Tacheon have said. Both are positives.
Honestly, I don't think there's a decent chance of that happening, because we poke fun at quite a few of our banned members from time to time.
But none of our other banned members are JDog (that we know of).
Of course they are:
Axel
Master J
Soon to be Jordon
So, yeah.
Well yeah, I meant besides[/I ]them.
I don't think he'll ever get it. Sad to say... I say that if he makes a new account, and has better grammar and posts altogether, it wouldn't be a problem. I mean, if we don't know if its JDog or not, I don't see the problem. If he improves so much that we can't recognize him, then I don't see why we'd conspire against him.
I have an idea! Perhaps we could make it a rule not to talk about JDog. That way we can't talk smack about JDog (like we already are), and JDog, because he sin't attacked anymore, won't have a reasonto be here.
Why would we do something to accommodate him?
I do find it odd that we're concerned with catering to a banned member. I mean, it's something we shouldn't be worrying about.
Well, he's BANNED, and we're trying to do whatever it takes to make him leave. Of course, since the fact that he was banned isn't getting through to him, other methods must be used. For example, ignoring the fact JDog ever existed or him creating another account claiming not to be JDog both work for us.
Your method is not to make him any madder by saying we should pretend he doesn't exist?
Yeah, I can totally see how saying he doesn't exist in the open will calm him down.[/sarcasm]
Here's my idea. Jdog accepts that fact that we're all jesters and move on with life.
Reaching to him psychologically won't work, HNS. We've seen how he has reacted to us, he isn't leaving any time soon. We have to try something different. If we pay no attention to him and not mention him at all, then perhaps he would get tired of begging us to let him come back and just leave for good.
I think you just contradicted yourself. How is that not a psychological means of reaching him?
That does seem like a contradiction, doesn't it. Well, it's actually different, in a sense. If we just ignore him, then he's just going to leave because he's tired of begging, not because of emotional maturity.
Isn't that called 'reverse psychology'?
Not only that, but I'm under the impression that he has stopped begging us to lift the ban and that he's getting on to tell us how mad he is that we're still making jokes about him.
Why are we even worrying about whether he stays away or not? We can't IP ban him, he's using a proxy. We've done what we can. If he decides to spend his life mourning over the fact that he was banned for swearing and insulting people, that's his problem.
He joined AGAIN!?!?! Where did he post?

No, reverse psychology would be if we were to try to get him to come back, only to turn us down to spite us.. Basically, it's persuading him to leave by "falsely advocating the belief contrary to the belief that is actually being advocated."
And CM, I think he posted a new topic in the Chatboard. Either that, or he posted in a topic made to make it look like he posted a new topic... I can't remember which.
But isn't that exactly what Whocares was suggesting?
No, my policy is really just "ignore him". He'll eventually get tired. Even hyperactive little children eventually get tired.

Actually, someone (probably Tacheon, because we all know how much of a jester he is) created a new account claiming to be Jdog as a joke. Jdog got mad and created a new account to tell us to stop joking him.
And Whocares, he did get tired of asking us to lift the ban. The current issue he has with us is our continued poking fun of him.

I did NOT create a second account for that purpose.
I just happened to have a secondary account for testing purposes that I like to play with. :D
You're partially correct, HNS: It was Tacheon who made the fake JDog account, but he just changed the name of the joke account he created as part of a test for Gamefreak back when we were deleting spambots. However, he actually made two topics with that account where he impersonated JDog, but with the most recent one he actually pretended to be JDog. The real JDog posted in that one.
As for what to do about JDog, I think we would be best off just doing what we are now: If he comes back, just tell him again that we can't let him back because he's banned. And he's banned because he broke the rules too many times.
EDIT: Damn it, Tacheon, I wrote all of that only for you to come in and post the exact same thing, but shorter, before me.
I'm with Shika. He's gone, and hopefully won't be back. If he comes, he (hopefully) knows we'll just make fun of him again. It's not that big of a deal.

That's just the thing, though. He doesn't understand that and never will.
I guess you're right. he was here yesterday.
...wait...
was that just your 2nd account as sora/CAPTAIN PLANET?
and did you start the topic "ok guys," ?
I see it's all starting to become clear for some members here.
...so is that a yes?
Yes, he (or rather, his joke account) started the "ok guys" topic, and I believe his alternate account is now Captian Planet.

yeah, that's why i kinda got suspicious
:erm: what?
Even though it's kinda me who started it, let's keep the convo posting to a minimum
:looks guilty in a corner:
OMG! How long was I gone? What happened? What did he do?
He simply pushed his luck one warning too far, most likely because of the warning system that we have enacted (read in the Announcements section).
No, that system was implemented after his banning.
I'm unstickying this. Forgot about it, probably not needed anymore, ect.
