Alrighty. So, the first results are in; McCain wins Kentucky (8 votes), and Obama wins Vermont (3 votes). Looks like Indiana is incredibly close, with 50% for Obama and 49% for McCain...Obama's got New Hampshire and Maine pretty well taken care of, it seems. And McCain has a 10% or so lead in both Virginia and Florida. And, now that I check a few minutes later, a huge lead in Georgia.
Geeze, McCain's winning South Carolina too? And Obama BARELY has North Carolina by 1%. I wasn't expecting this many votes for McCain, especially since the prelims all showed Obama winning the East Coast. McCain could win this.

You may as well chock up New York and California for Obama. I don't think a republican has won in those states in like 50 years.
Yeah, I think the polls showed Obama with a huge lead before.
But man, the polls also said Obama would have the entire east coast. I wonder if a bunch of Obama supporters decided he'd be fine without their vote?
McCain is going to win all the small states, including Florida and Texas.
Obama will win all the huge states and maybe one or two small ones.
It's going to be an epic duel. ;)
Actually, South Carolina was always Mccain territory, it's NC where the race is incredibly close. I've been following over the past couple months and I've said to some of my friends that "NC Might actually go Blue!"
Same situation in Georgia as SC for Mccain.
Also, Bush won California in 1988. California has only been a blue state since 1992. The 1960, 1968, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984 and 1988 elections all had California going red, this is mainly because Nixon and Reagan were on the Republican ticket 7 times (5 for Nixon, 2 for Reagan). So a republican hasn't won California in 20 years. Eh.
Good lord this is close.
It could go either way.
Its down to the wire, where one vote makes a big difference.
I have no idea what's happening with Texas :o When they started reporting, Obama had a lead with over 60%, now McCain has 51%...this really is going to be a tight one.
Also, I won't be able to update the dashboard since I'm leaving for rehearsal, so if anyone else wants to you can. Though I think it's actually more trouble than it's worth.

That's the one I've been watching >.>

lol, 4th and 2nd largest states = small?
That being said, yeah, we ended up going republican. I personally liked Obama better anyway.
I know the elections are over, but I just read this and got confused. How did you guys think that it was a close tie? I was watching the news, and Obama had the lead by a majority nearly the entire time.
When the results first started coming in, it was really close.
