Well, everyone else in the party seemed to disappear down the street, so now me and Lemming are watching the Rush concert.

Happy New Year, everyone, first of all!

The New Year's festivities were kind of down this year... they didn't even have fireworks downtown. Other than that, though, it was our family's typical celebration: Mexican food, a movie, then watching the countdown and... well, celebrating. We might have driven to the end of the street to see the downtown fireworks (since you've got a surprisingly good view of them from there), but since they weren't there this year...

Oh, well, I hope 2009 will be a great year for you all.

We played Monopoly (the Beatles version my mom got for Christmas), and after a while once I forfeited due to a lack of money and no one landing on my property, I began to play Final Fantasy Tactics A2.  Meanwhile, the TV was on to channel 13, which is ABC for us, so Shrek 2 was on.  Then it was Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve, but I changed the channel to TBS because I didn't feel like listening to a bunch of screaming people.  At around midnight, Mom changed it back to 13 so she and Dad could watch the ball drop.  I kept on playing FFTA2.

I'm sorry, but New Year's Day has become just another ordinary day for me.  Except my mom and dad has the day off work.  And it's my dad's birthday today.

I was at Dr Rabies' sister's house for a new year's party.

Most of the "over 21" crowd was veeeery drunk by the time I left.

I just watched Michigan State get the crap kicked out of them in the Capital One bowl.  I'll be watching the Rose Bowl in half an hour.

My condolences DW. This just isn't your year for football.

We celebrated the New Year by having Lemming play his euphonium. Outside. Very obnoxiously. And repetitively. So mostly he celebrated while we suffered.

Actually, it's okay.  The Steelers are my favorite NFL team, and they are 12-4 and the second seed in the AFC.

I thought it'd be worth noting that the first video game I played in 2009 was the original "Half-Life." $0.98 well-spent. (Steam had it on sale for that price in November to celebrate "Half-Life's" 10th anniversary.)

First game I play every year is a speed run thru The original LoZ. Best time 36 minutes 13 seconds.

...

Are you serious? That's really impressive, especially considering I can't get past the sixth dungeon.

Certain parts really confused me in the original. like that 4 headed thing (name escapes me) you try like 7 times and figure out you can kill it with one bomb.

The party lasted the whole day.  I literally have not slept.  I wouldn't be complaining if all the time was spent in fancy Latin dancing, an activity I do not enjoy.

A friend and I chilled for a while, staying up 'til, like, three/3:30 in the morning. XD

He told me a thirty-minute joke with a depriving punchline, so needless to say, I wanted to kill him.

I instantly settled for a humiliating four-stock in Brawl for his punishment, as well as a 358/2 Days trailer as a personal reward for me. >=)

Then he comparatively owned me at Guitar Hero.

Also, we watched more YouTube videos and witnessed some Re:Chain of Memories action.

So it's all good. :)

They made a new ball in NYC, and I watched it drop on TV. At the same time, I was counting down on Animal crossing.  ;)

I really did nothing on new year's eve. Stayed up, had on a party hat, and that was it. It might have been more fun if a certain somebody would have come over... but no.

On new years day, My dad was going to take me and my little bro and sis to the Hall of science, which we were all psyched for, but we couldn't go because of 15 degree weather, snow falling, and ice on the ground.  :(

It wasn't my average new year's, but it was fun. :)
