Whenever I do something, weather it be viewing a topic, viewing a profile, or anything that doesn't involve posting, changing things, sending messages, or signing in, I check who's online, and it says a guest just did exactly what I just viewed. It's really weird. Either I have a stalker who is on exactly at the same time, and for the same amount of time as me, and likes to do what I do, or something's screwy.
I noticed this happening a few weeks after I joined. Never felt like doing anything about it.
It's probably just a glitch in the forum software. Nothing to worry about.
I posted a topic all about this over the summer. Tacheon explained it perfectly; I'll have to dig up the quote for you.
They are spiderbots-- bots created by the programmers at Google, Yahoo, and other search engines-- that are designed to browse forums and "index" topics, or link to, research, save, etc. to web pages. It follows what you've done because it saves much more memory to use a recently created (created by the website, as in it's in its recent memory) than it would to have to view webpages on their own.
TL;DR = they are bots, not actual users. Don't worry about them.
Oooooooh... thanks. Got it.
Alright. That's that.
