Got about 250 dollars in Wal-Mart gift cards as late Christmas presents from Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles, so I got a PSP for basically free with it.
That said, any good games any of you can recommend to me?
Star wars Battlefront: Renegade squadron. That's the best I came up with! ;) Ehehe...
Well, I don't have a PSP, so my suggestion of Wild Arms XF is mostly because I love the first game and the whole premise of the series. It's also a tactical RPG, and we all know how much I love the genre.
I also want to get a game called Jeanne d'Arc. It takes Joan of Arc's story, but adds a fantasy spin to it. And it's a tactical RPG.
I think no one needs to suggest Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions; that's a given, right?
Maybe no...
The games I do plan on gettin are:
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops
God of War: Chains of Olympus
Final Fantasy Dissidia (When it comes out in the US)
And maybe the Final Fantasy I and II 20th anniversary collection.
Glad we could be of help.

Good man.
Oh, I'm not 100% certain and it could, of course, change, but I think Dissidia is coming out some time this year.
Have you tried out the Remote Play feature yet, by any chance? That's my main reason for wanting a PSP.
god of war is very good
Jeanne d'arc is pretty good if you like side scrolling anime and fighting in a strange manner
I pretty much use my psp for watching movies on long trips... eh.

Wait, what? Are we talking about the same game here?
Movies would be a handy feature, too, and I'd love to have a portable internet device. But if Sony ever let you rip PS1 games to your PS3's HDD, I'd get a PSP, like, yesterday. "Tomb Raider" and "Rayman" on the road? Hells yeah!

so very true. the psp is a godsend. ha. internet, radio, games, movies, photo storage. etc. tis amazing. ;D
I am aware of that. I'd just rather not void my warranty/risk bricking my PSP. If I can play PS1 games officially, I'd much rather do that than potentially screw myself out of $150. (Only the older ones can do the whole custom firmware thing, so I'd have to buy one used.)
Also, it can't do everything. Have you ever seen it running Saturn games? I think not. Not enough buttons, either. How about the Dreamcast? Not that either.
Perhaps you took that too literally...
It's not like he's saying that you can cook a turkey with a PSP.
I think you're being too literal. >>
;D I'm explaining...
I know, I was being literal on purpose.
It can't run Saturn games, though.

Add
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep to that list, and you got yourself a Mags Thumbs-Up.
Dissidia sounds good. If only I had a PSP.
Well, I managed to get into my PS3's PSN name and get to my downloaded stuff from my PS3 while on my PSP last night.
I transfered my Symphony of the Night and Crash Bandicoot games over to my PSP.
Update: I also found Final Fantasy II and Tactics: War of the Lions for 15.00 each today at a used game store.
Sweet Deal!
You can transfer games over to your PSP? In what way?
PS1 games and some other games purchased from the PlayStation store can be transferred to a PSP system through the PS3. If you have your PSP and PS3 set up for Remote Play, you can also access those particular games on your PS3 through the PSP if you're at a Wi-Fi hotspot without transferring them over. This way, the PSP acts merely as a controller and a screen for the PS3; it doesn't do any game processing itself.
Ah, cool! Oh, how awesome would it be if I could play The Legend of Dragoon on a PSP... *drools*
Actually, what I did was get on the Playstation Store on my PSP.
Your PSN name is universal across all Sony game systems that use it. After I got on the PSP Store with my Ace_Attorney PSN name, I went to my record of downloaded files under the name, and redownloaded Symphony of the Night and Crash Bandicoot 2 and 3.
Ah, Crash Bandicoot 2 and 3... Haven't played them in ages... Awesome games... :-*
Now the games that I have are:
Star Wars Battlefront - Sick game. Play it all the time.
God of War; Chains of Olympus - Not a bad game, but relatively short.
Rainbow Six Vegas and Ghost Recon - Awesome.
Tomb Raider - I'm stuck, but still good.
I'm trying to find Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops right now.
No luck. I'm about to head across town to Gamestop soon to check it out.
I know this isn't the first time I've said this, but if you can't find it in stores, check online if you can. You can usually get used games cheaper there than at any given used game store, even after stuff like shipping.
