I frequent many sites such as Stack Smash (http://stacksmash.cultnet.net/?page_id=86)who hack into Smash Bros. Brawl and re-texture characters into others. Now, they have released a guide. But it's too hard to follow and I don't feel like trying ???. So, in the meantime, I've been re-coloring character models to illustrate possible textures. Here's two so far:

That's why I said "primary." You typically see him use his daggers when he runs out of arrows (a common situation for archers, which is why they should always carry around a secondary weapon such as a dagger) or when he needs to cut something. Even if you used a picture of Link where he isn't shooting his bow, Legolas still doesn't use a shield (except for that one awesome time in Helm's Deep, but that shield still wasn't his).
Link probably would have made a better Boromir, in my opinion.
Faramir is better than Boromir.
After all boromir can't just rock into mordor.
From what I remember of the movies and books, Faramir didn't use a shield.

No, it reads it from an SD Card, so as soon as you take it out the textures are reverted to normal.

I'm aware of several things wrong with this sprite. There's no transparency in the background; I don't have Photoshop, and you can't fix it in Paint. The headband should probably be dark red, but I see no reason why Kallen would wear only dark red. She probably wouldn't wear armor, but I'm not at the level where I can do more than just recolor. The fact that I got a good approximation of her hair, eyes, and skin is good enough for me (though, the skin could be a bit more accurate, I suppose; I used Lilina's skintone for Kallen's skin as it was the closest fit I could find). And yes, for those who actually know what I'm talking about, Kallen doesn't look exactly like Wendy, but the appearance was similar enough for me to attempt the recoloring.

Ok can you make lyn out of someone? Its a hard one i know... but if you could pull it off you'd be a hero. everyone knows lyn should've been playable! :)

Um, Lyn is in Brawl as an assist trophy, so re-texturing another character to make Lyn is rather unnecessary.

Hey, you don't have to get mad about my opinion; I'm as perfectly free to express my opinion as you are. So please calm down.
And Samus actually would have been a better choice, as her hairstyle more closely matches Lyn's than Zelda's does. The clothing would be off, of course, but the Zero Suit could be re-textured to look like something someone from Elibe would wear.
Speaking of Samus, I was browsing deviantART and saw a picture (http://v12vanquish135.deviantart.com/art/Samus-and-Winry-101555944) that took note of how much Samus and Winry Rockbell (Fullmetal Alchemist) look like each other. If you make Winry out of Samus, I will forgive you for making Lyn out of Zelda (honestly, I just feel that there is no reason to make a Lyn re-texture with Lyn already an assist trophy, no matter how much I wanted Lyn to be a playable character).

This is not the topic to bring up emoticons. Also, instead of using the angry emoticon, just say that you disagree; it shouldn't be that much more of an effort to type what you're feeling/thinking. Just use the emoticons as an emphasis or when you can't put what you're feeling into words.

Ok srry well my point is that if i was doing the retexture i think i would choose zelda also. and HH92 is still gonna do a second one, so i think your judging this one too early... i dunno i kinda see why you think it doesnt work, but i think all it needs is some more detail. and sleeves. :)

Depends on the character and Re-texture. Here's two examples
Link-> Anil= 10 min.
Ike-> Anybody= 1 hour (he has extremely difficult hair)
