Title: Aw... dangit...
Post by: ZeldaFreak on February 05, 2009, 06:17:39 PM
So I got the ds news email that nintendo sends out a few days ago and I was like maybe theres a zelda thing in it (i think this every time nintendo sends me stuff and i always get disapointed :() so i open it while thinking aw... dangit... :( and then i see a thing about Metal Slug 7, and i was like metal slug? I remember that game! It is my favorite game to play at arcades (yes I go to those :)). Anyway, I clicked on it, and got really exited cuz its for ds and it looked really cool... But then i thought aw... dangit... :( cuz I found out that it doesn't come out untill November...  :'(
So any of you guys find out about any cool looking games that are actually coming out soon? ::) ;)

Um, Metal Slug 7 is already out in Japan and the U.S.

There's Suikoden Tierkreis, but I'm mostly excited for that because I have a friend who's a huge fan of the Suikoden series.

I've heard virtually nothing about it since E3 last year.

As far as I know, it's supposed to be released this year.

A game that looked promising yet never came out was Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
MF: I too am waiting for all the new KH's, will they be released simultaneusly, because I don't have a DS but I want to buy the PSP game (Birth by Sleep).

Uh... It's speculated that Birth by Sleep will be the last one released. They won't be released simultaneously, especially since coded is already out in Japan.

Truth be told, I've become a bit bitter towards Nintendo over the past couple years.

They deliver a sub-par system which had nothing going for it but the motion control gimmick.  Since then it has become nothing but a gimmick that has delivered few games that truly make it shine.

The DS, for all the potential it had, has become a gimmick as well.  The touch screen has been turned into an alternative for menus, which all other systems have accomplished with the START button.

Throw in the fact that Nintendo spends most of its time catering to "casual" gamers now, there's little for me to be excited about for Nintendo anymore.

Ha, you sound kind of like me, Gamefreak. I haven't gotten into a rant about the DS yet, though, but that does sum up my feelings quite well.

As for "Wii Sports Resort," it looks interesting enough, but I'm not pinning my hopes on it being anything great; chances are it'll turn into a "Wii Fit" extension.

Most likely.
Right now, I'm looking forward to the rumored Star Wars Battlefront III that is supposed to come out for everything except the PC. The game engine's too big, so it more than likely will have to fall away from it's predecessors on the PC, and settle for the Wii instead. LEAKED FOOTAGE HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQE_1whOtqs)! (Not the best footage, but the only stuff we have...

I know! Free Radical went bankrupt, and was bought by Crytek just recently...like, a few days ago! Free radical was almost finished making this game, so hopefully Crytek should be putting the finishing touches on it as we speak. Just think! All the stuff you could do on Call of Duty 3, Star wars style, and in 3rd person!
However...Before this video was even leaked, Rebellion, who was responsible for Star Wars Battlefront: Rogue Squadron, has been rumored to have already taken over the project, codenamed "project X".

Why would it come out for everything but the PC? The PC gamers are going to always have a PC capable of playing whatever game they want, no matter how big the engine is.

Also, if the game engine is really that big, then I can't imagine it coming out for the Wii at all. If that's the case, they'll do some adjusting so it's not so system-intensive.

The only thing better is if nintendo would come out with a zelda game like this... :(

The game engine. It's too fast, too powerful, too graphically superior, takes up too much memory...I could go on and on. It is a shame, I'll admit, but...you'll have to admit, computers just aren't as powerful as you think they really are.
And here's hoping Nintendo doesn't go Bankrupt...And, this is between you and me...Nintendo is already working on a new Zelda game...one far younger and possibly more fresh. Word on the street is, that it's supposed to have Alcohol references. Not Good.

Gaming PCs can be as powerful as you want them; all you need is money.

If the game engine's really that system-intensive, then no game console could support it, and only the highest-end gaming PCs could even touch it.

Maybe with any luck there will be gore in it too... Can you imagine how hardcore that would be?!!!  ;D

It's all in the way you look at it. Computers hold an incredible amount of information that regard to websites, career profiles, private data, control settings, online interviews, downloaded videos, pictures, a built in Calculator...need I say more? While the other game systems only hold game stuff and nowadays internet related stuff. You could be right, I could be wrong. But whatever. It's not like I could change my mind and storm into the headquarters of Rebellion, or Crytek for that matter, and order them to change the game plans. Too late into the progress.

Gore...that's a pretty hardcore idea, though! I like that one! I'm a man of realism, so realism in Games is everything to me...except for TWW. It was good anyway.

You realize what an alcohol reference is, right? I mean, Harvest Moon has alcohol references. It's not like he's chugging and running around with a lampshade on his head or something.

Platinum? Yeah, it's the third game for the Pearl/Diamond set.

I loved the Wind Waker! It was the first Zelda game I played! People tell me "Oh, you picked a bad choice of a Zelda game if that was your first!" Well, what would you have recommended, then? Why do you think I'm this much into Zelda in the first place, huh?

I think you should all invest in a coy of Chrono Trigger for the DS. I just got it recently and it looks amazing. A diamond in the rough.
