Title: Bummer -_-
Post by: Zelda Veteran on February 15, 2009, 07:36:15 PM
Youtube permanently disabled my account because of "violation of terms" or something like that. They got rid of all of my AMV's, Videos, everything. I'm sick to my stomach XP

Damn, that sucks majorly. Sorry to hear about that, dude.

YouTube also murdered one of my favorite channels, ClassicSegaMusic. Sega had awesome music in their games, so I miss having a channel where you had so much of it in one place.

YouTube's gone the way of the caveman, friends.

Guess we all have to go back to illegal downloading, like in the good old days.

I hate when stuff like that happens.  any clue what you did to violate the ToS?

He probably used copyrighted music in his videos.

Also, Tacheon, I dislike illegal downloading because it's far less convenient than just clicking on a video and having it available to watch almost immediately.

Ah, man. If there was anything to make you feel better, let me know. I will do it for you. ANYTHING.

And for illegal downloading, I find it as useful as the black market. Only useful in times of economic crisis.

I seriously think it was the music.
There are soooo many other AMV's for youtube to destroy. Why mine?
I correctly sited all of my sources, and everything!
All of my AMV's, lost DX
Some of those were seriously BAMF!!
DX
It would seem that Davy Jones is right about this one.
... 'Course, I never actually stopped illegally downloading
XD

Go make Nintendo say something/anything about Zelda 09.

Why do you think it was the music? What do you think was the one thing that threw them all off?

As for that request, I would like to announce that I have less power than the press at this occasion, so I don't rightly know anything that will make them talk. But, I will try. For you.

I don't know what else it could be...
Naruto AMV's are EVERYWHERE and they're never deleted...
Heck most of the people don't even site their sources.
I feel more betrayed than that kid who got mouthy with his clock! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFy84M4Dmig)

Well, he does have a point, and I agree with him, however he does need to seriously back up that point. He dropped the F bomb WAY too many times for me to take. Grandfather clock...wow.

Oh, you, too, ZV? :'(

YouTube seriously needs to crawl in a hole and die. Or at least be helmed by better people. All the good AMVs are getting removed, darn it! There was this one that I just absolutely loved this one time... It got deleted due to "terms of violation," or whatever bull they justified it with. >:(

And let's not even get started on the Abridged Series' fuss!

Well, it's official. Youtube has officially been labeled for "abandon."
Let's move on to some other video sight that isn't very noticeable to the authorities.

And could you give us the name of such a website?

Oh, yeah, there isn't one. YouTube has a monopoly on the internet video market... thing. It's like eBay; love it or hate it, it's your only choice.

Actually, I think there's a site called Veoh that is a bit more lax about uploading videos.

Yeah. I have an account there, actually. You can find almost anything there.

Do they allow AMV's at Veoh?

I'm guessing you don't keep the old AMVs you've made. And why would you let them go?

No, its not that, its just that most of them were made on my old computer, which blue-screened. The only place that they still existed was youtube.
