Well, yeah, today's my birthday. I'm turning 15, for those of you interested. It's kind of strange, I couldn't think of a single thing I really wanted to get this year, so my parents are probably just going to give me cash. I might put it towards a nice new TV...
Well, anyways, yeah, happy birthday to me.
Happy birthday, TW!
Here's another cat for your birthday.
>^w^<
Happy Birthday Twilight Wolf.
Now you're one year closer to dying! Joking Happy b-dizzle.
Happy fifteenth birthday, TW! Hope it's a great one! :D
And at the same time, I wish you a happy Brawl Day. Coincidence that your birthday'd be on the same day, eh?
Idungettet.

Happy birthday! I'm shocked that you're only 15, for some reason I thought this to be your 17th. That's probably because you're so mature and stuff, though.

Do you know how many times I've made that joke to myself....
I had a feeling this thread would totally derail before it hit page three.
Thanks for the good wishes, though, guys!
Also, Mags, I think it's more of a coincidence "Brawl" was released on my birthday, not the other way around as I've been around for much longer. However, fun fact: I pre-ordered it and bought it on release date, so it was kind of like my birthday present to me.
YOu are a psychic in so many ways.
happy birthday! ;D
Thanks!
Dude, it'd be funny if from now on Mags remembered every one of your birthdays.
But only cause it's Brawl day.

Whoops. Yeah, you're right. I guess I worded that incorrectly. >.<''

It certainly makes it much easier to remember. :P

That wouldn't surprise me at all, really, being the Smash buff he is.
Well, anywho, I ended up getting some sweet stuff! From my parents, I got an awesome Microsoft Comfort keyboard and a pretty blue Microsoft Netbook mouse that I've had my eye on for a while, and $150! They also covered $20 of the cost of purchasing my PSP, and we also went out to dinner, plus my Dad still owes me a skiing trip. My sister gave me a copy of "Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters" for the PSP, and my Grandparents gave me a Presidential stamp collection and a subscription to "Popular Science."
Overall, today was pretty sweet! Now I just have to get used to typing on a real keyboard again, and a curved one at that...
POPULAR SCIENCE!
Lucky...
Lucky
For my birthday the twins got Animal Crossing
Ever read Mental floss?
Shigeru Miyamoto was voted one of this generations 8 new Einstiens.
Good to see you hit the motherload, TW. ;)
Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters is a pretty good game, so you'll probably be satisfied by it. Feels out-of-continuity for a typical R&C game, but it's cool to see one of our favorite duos on the small screen.
Well, then, I'm glad I've got it.
However, the PSP I bought is used, and bricked at that. You see, I plan on putting custom firmware on it, which can't be done with the newest PSPs out there, but since the stuff I ordered to unbrick it and put custom firmware on it hasn't arrived yet, I have yet to see if the UMD drive functions. Getting two games with the PSP tells me it probably will, though.

:P
^^ What firmware do you plan on adding to it?
Is it still your birthday?

I'm going to install 3.90 M33-3 first, since I've got the necessary files for it, but after that I'll upgrade it to 5.00 M33-6 or whatever firmware's out now using my Wi-Fi connection, then the 1.50 kernel since I've got a Phat PSP.

Only in Canada.
Canade isn't a real country silly person.

*over head*
What does that stuff do, now? ;)
I think it basically tells the PSP to not check for copy protection data. Using some specialized software, I can rip PS1 games to my computer and convert them to PSP game files, thus making them playable on my PSP. The updated firmware also improves things like PS1 emulation so the games will work even better.
I thought you were against Piracy young man.
I'm not using it for piracy. I'm using it to play PS1 games I already own.
Ah. That sounds awesome, TW.
You know, I wonder what it would be like to play something as epic as The Legend of Dragoon in the palm of your hand... Would you bravely find the answer in my stead, sir? :D
Sure, but I need more money first. The remaining money I've got is going towards a new TV.
???

Okay, coolness. That game is just so freaking awesome. Plus, it wouldn't be a pain if you didn't have to switch discs, so if it's possible to merge them into one, you'd be at an advantage.
I believe the software I'm using allows you to make multi-disc games into one large file, though you do have to select "change disc" from a menu on the PSP.
To be honest, I rather like multi-disc games. I get kind of a happy feeling every time I get a message saying "This is the end of disc *whatever*. Please insert the next disc to continue."
I rather dislike it, actually. Not only does it get repetitive after you decide to do some sidequests--particularly the Stardust sidequest, where you have to go back to all four domains in Endiness if you missed ones during the course of the game--but it also means that going to the next disc is just another milestone in beating the game altogether.
And with a story as epic and memorable as The Legend of Dragoon's is, you don't want it to end. :'(
To each his own, though. If you like it, that's cool.
gerhikjdlsk.fcx, ????????????????????????????
So like it's still your birthday?
lmao
No really is it?
At the length this thread is going I could start one and It'd still be alive by my birthday.
