Hi everyone. How you doing?
This question has always bugged me, which oracle is the best game. Hmmmmmm?
I personly like both of them, so i have decided to live it up to you fellow gamers to decide for yourselfs which is the best out of the two games.
(so start posting your thougths)
Hey, I am doing pretty good, tired, but good. How are you?
As for me, I preferred Seasons to ages for a couple of reasons.
1) I thought the Season changes were a lot better than the ones in Ages. Plus, I liked the Rod way better than the harp, which was too limiting.
2) Subrosians!!! They are quite possibly my fav. Zelda race. And they are much cooler than the Tokay, which I've always believed to be a land-based rip-off of the Zora.
So yeah, that's al I can think of right now, but Seasons was definately better.
I would have to say seasons. I dont know why but seasons was a lot better. Ages was ok, but it was kind of dumb. Seasons had a cooler story line.
I prefered Seasons as well. I didn't like how much... darker(?)... Ages was. Seasons was all around a funner experience.
I liked Seasons the best, but it is the only Oracle game I played. :)
Yup. Season is the best....It doesn't make me want to toss the GBA across the room....as much...lol...It was cooler.... ;D(Gosh I love this smilie)
YES!! That's what i'm sating, Impa. Ages was just plain frustrating. Season was way funner, had better characters, and the dancing Subrosians was wayyyy cooler than dancing Gorons who always ask if they are a good dancer >:(
Evilllllll....dancing Gorons evilllll.... >:(
I preffered Seasons. It had a better storyline, and is--ahem--way less darker(darker as in,more freaky stuff and ghastly music),plus the Noble Sword was easier to obtain.I already have the Master Sword, though,so screw that.Plus, the secrets, for me,are a bit more beneficial.
Ages had more story in it, while Seasons was more straight forwards, so how its storyline can be better is beyond me. ::)
Anyway, I can't seem to get Dimitri in Seasons, the dungeons in Ages are more challenging, there are more new bosses in Ages and Ages has a better storyline, so I prefer Ages.
After the second dungeon in Seasons (or thje first time you go there) do the Subrosian dance until you get a flute. It will turn into Dimitri's flute. He's in Spool Swamp getting attacked by moblins.
Seasons is the best!Moosh is so CUTE! ;D I love everything about Sesons.I have played almost all of the zelda games and this one is one of the best!
I don't know actually...
I preferred the Subrosian's presented to us in OoS... though I liked the difficulty and darkness of OoA... yes I prefer Onyx of Veran...
I'll just say OoA... trying to be a minority here ^_^ Always voting for the underdog... because he was an awesome super hero! <<;;
lol! Good one! ;D
Unfortunately for me, I have neither OoA nor OoS. :'(
I really can't say :P
In terms of storyline, Ages is quite better than Seasons, the former having a deep storyline of Ralph and Veran, whom posessed Nayru, trying to build the Black Tower, and the latter with almost no storyline. Just go get the Essences and defeat Onox.
In terms of lands to explore, they're quite tied. Ages has the past and present version of Labrynna, and Seasons, Holodrum and Subrosia. Subrosia may be smaller, but is quite different from Holodrum, whilst present and past Labrynna have less changes.
In terms of interesting (so to say), Seasons beats Ages, as in the latter, you use the special item to travel between the 'worlds', and the former, you use it, not to travel between them, but to change the look of the map, being able to morph and unravel secrets. The characters are also a lot more interesting in Seasons than in Ages. (Subrosians are so cool)
So... I really can't decide. :P
oh
I would have to say Seasons because there was more straightforward action than Ages which was more puzzle based.
I prefer seasons. The Subrosian are cool. The Gorons rock! (Get it?).
I prefer Ages. I love manipulating time with music. ;D
Now that you mention it, Ages does have a better storyline. It's too bad I don't have a (working/not lost) copy. :'(
Buy one off the internet. It is worth it fighting Ganon, but you should try fighting him in Seasons, because you have the cape to dodge his attacks. In ages, you only have the feather.
He he. That's funny. Me buying something off the Internet. Actually, that is a good idea, it's just that I don't have any money. At least, right now. I'm applying for a job.
I"m applying for a job as well.
I'm 12, I don't need a job and I'll be breaking child laws if I get one. Still, I feel sorry for Holodrum. The seasons are putting it in the same situation Termina was in. Gorons are freezing, for example, exactly why I'm moving to the Great Sea soon.
Overall, they're among my least favorite in the series, but I did like Seasons better.
Yeah seasons is better
Holodrum's more beautiful.
They both looked cool to me,but i liked ages more..it was just cool to see the differneces in the past and present.
Yes, but I played Seasons first before any other Zelda game, so that may have to do with it.
I played Seasons first, but I like Ages better. Playing one game before another doesn't make it better than the second.
And masterkey has a point. Ages was awesome because you could see how much a land can change in around 400 years.
That reminds me, in the Zora Sea there's this house with a fisher. At the past, it's a man. In the Present, it's woman. Strange thing is that the girl is his GRANDDAUGHTER, and they look young. Did 400 years actually pass or not?
I liked season more simply because i had a lot more fun with it, Onox was awesome as a villan and the overall feel of the game was much warmer which i enjoyed.
Seasons was good, but it pissed me off alittle cause as the seasons changed, there was some stuff i culdnt do because it changed so abruptly.
Maybe they found the fountain of youth? I think Labrynna's past is 400 years ago from the time Link is in it. Are you sure about the grandfather-granddaughter thing? I'm not sure if the land can change that much in even a 100 years.
Labrynna was cooler!!!!! And sure, the land can change that fast in the evnt that like 1000 natural disasters happened

Ok, but there's really no need to swear.
Speak to them yourself and find out.
I think Seasons had tougher bosses near the end.
Hmm...yes, this is true...
well its best when you have both cuz you can play 2or 3 different versions on each one if you have em.
this is true ;D
My favorite was ages, But then again, its the only one I have ;)
I haven't played them.*Sniff* :'(
I don't have any gameboy Zelda games :(
But I have played them :) I have played through Ages.. and I've played a bit Seasons.. And Ages is far better than Seasons.. At least that's what I think..
If you had posted that a month from now then the timeskip between your post and the post before your's would be a whole year.... :-[
Please check the dates of the posts before you reply, you could get in trouble for randomly posting all the time.
Topic revival isn't all that bad...
I haven't played the games, but I think I'd like ages more... just because. XD Oh, and I read the manga of Seasons and a little bit of Ages.
Ages is more puzzle based, and in fact one of the boss fights is almost entirely a puzzle. Seasons is revolved around action and is very fast-moving.
I like Seasons the best, it moves very quickly, and Holodrum is very cool. Labrynna, however, isn't very appeasing.
Okay, then yes, I'd probably appreciate ages more... I like puzzles more than action, Zelda's the second action-based game I've really played through. (Silent Hill being the first one, and there's puzzles in that one, too. I just can't stand full-on action...)
No, you'd hate Ages. It has this one puzzle that will take you forever to solve, unless you have a walkthrough. I mean, it takes FOREVER even for experienced Ages players to solve on their own. they made a real mistake putting that puzzle in the game.
... I like puzzles. The more challenging, the better.
Now I have to get out and buy the game myself so I can solve that puzzle.
Are you talking about the forest puzzle, Whocares?
No, that's actually a bit easy and fun.
I mean the floor tile puzzle in Level 4. The one you need to complete to get the Switchook, and again for the Boss Key. It's damn annoying. There is no way to describe my anger to it fully.
