A friend told me KH3 is not coming until 2011, how much truth is there to this?
I know the "expansions" are all coming this year, but still it will be a long wait for the next main game to come out.

Which game are you talking about, because it's pretty much well stablished that BbS is for the PSP, 352/2 Days is for the DS and coded will be out for the cellphones, as for KH3, I think it is safe to assume it will be on the PS3
Given how Square Enix is with release dates, a 2011 release doesn't surprise me.
I wouldn't be surprised, either, but you have to remember that its development hasn't even been announced yet. I mean, they're just working on 358/2 Days and Birth by Sleep, and they finished coded a few months ago. That also excludes Final Fantasy Versus XIII...
They do have a lot on their plate right now. It's not a bad release guess, if I may say so myself. ;)
