Title: FABULOUS MISADVENTURES IN ORAL HYGIENE
Post by: Keaton on April 17, 2009, 09:16:19 AM
So my mouth started hurting on levels previously thought impossible yesterday-- like, worse than two pounds of assorted shrapnel flying into your leg kind of painful.  So today, surprisingly, I managed to get an early-morning dentist appointment.  I went in, expecting to get a filling or two (this is why you floss, kids), and of course, since I can't live life the easy way, it turns out that I needed three separate root canals.

Yay.

Remember kids...

Brush and floss twice a day.

At least.

And i bet that was excruiatingly painful. after everything wore off...

It still hasn't worn off, luckily-- and 2000mg tablets of Percoset will make sure that I'll be okay.

Good.

I hate the dentist...

Sure they are male oriented but....

It usually ends up painful...

Luckily, it wasn't all too horrible while I was there-- I'm glad I am mostly over my fear of needles, though.

And the dental assistant made it worth the while ;D

Lucky, I am terrified of needles... And dental needles are like a mile long.

I wonder if it hurts more than getting, like, five warts removed, four of them from the same hand...

Well I've never had a root canal but I have had my teeth drilled upon with very little anestetic...

and uh... thats not fun...

Not sure what warts are like though...

I have had a ganglionic cyst gotten rid of the old fashioned way.

The dentist my mom works for is so good at giving shots that people don't know he has given them the shot until he told them that he did.

The most extensive dental work I have done was wisdom teeth removal.  That wasn't bad, and I'm assuming that was nothing compared to a root canal.

Better not go to hard on them, you might grow resistant to their effect.

Ouch, man. I had to get reconsturctive work done on one of my teeth. That hurt bad.

And I may have to get surgery done on my jaw, nose, and kneecap. Im not looking forward to that D:

Watch that episode of the Rugrats with the dental hygiene commercial.

That's all you ever need to do to guarantee you'll take care of your teeth.
