Has anyone here been keeping up with Spike's "Deadliest Warrior (http://www.spike.com/show/31082)"? What they do is they pair up two warriors, sometimes from different time periods, and they calculate who would win in a fight. They bring in two experts each in the arts compared, and they test a few of their weapons' effectiveness on dummies closely composed to that of an actual human body, and in some cases a pig carcass.
After all is said and done, they calculate everything from the weapons, down to skill, armor, speed, etc. and put it into a computer to simulate the battle 1000 times. At the end of each show, they actually show a staged battle between both warriors- and let me tell you, its awesome. Match ups they've done so far are:
Apache vs. Gladiator
Ninja vs. Spartan
Viking vs. Samurai
Pirate vs. Knight
Mafia vs. Yakuza
and next week:
American Green Beret Vs. Russian Spetsnaz
Man this is gonna be good.
I'm insulted there is no Ninja vs Pirate yet.
What a stupid show.
I haven't gotten around to watching it. Is there some other channel where I can see it?

Just because they haven't made a match-up you wanted to see doesn't make it a stupid show. Immature statements like that make me cringe on the inside. While it is true that they got a lot of bad feedback for not putting the Pirate against the Ninja, I don't think they plan on appealing to the internet crowd.
I was joking, Still I don't think it's my type of show, sorry about that.
I totally just watched the mafia vs yakuza version. haha.

Play Metal Gear Solid 3 and you can see how that turns out.

I liked their use of the baseball bat :P
Simple, but it got the edge over the nunchakus.
I really did want the mafia to win, I'm glad they won it.
Honestly, the whole way through, I thought the Yakuza was going to win. I liked the big cigars they had.

haha. I agree on all counts.
I have to admit that I loved the use of a baseball bat. that was totally killer.
I've been meaning to watch this show, but I always end up watching something else.
Meh, well, they'll probably put this on DVD, and I can watch it then.

OMIGAWD!
You must play this game.
It's a MGS so it's really long and hard to explain.
I've never played any MGS game all the way through actually. Its essentially because I've always been a Nintendork. ;D
Twin snakes was for Nintendo.
I think.
