Title: Hobbies
Post by: FunTykoon on May 06, 2009, 05:22:36 PM
I play tennis, I like to play instruments ( various kinds, only good at piano), work out (meathead alert), and daydream.

What are your hobbies? No videogames please, every know that.

I like drawing, it's the only thing I haven't given up, I took no classes, I learned all by myself, through trial and error, improving every time.
I also like to write, but it usually takes me a lot to finish something no matter how short it is.

I've always wanted to play an instument, I do seem to have the musical ear, but I haven't spend that much time with one to get good at it.

Yeah, I like Writing (Currently suffering a block... for multiple stories all original)

Drawing (I'm okay at it I guess)

Reading manga/watching anime (Haruhi FTW)

And talking with my girlfriend.

Also Hobbies is spelled wrong.

Party pooper.

So, yeah, I'm a writer as well.  Reading is another hobby; recently finished rereading the first six Harry Potter books (don't have the 7th yet :( ; however, I did read it).

I often find myself
- playing the old N.E.S. Super Mario.
- Talking on the phone
- Desert Colossus/Comic sites/Naruto-Arena
- Playing Magic with friends
- Skateboarding
- Rarely watching TV
And I'd swear we had a thread like this ages ago... well, whatever. :)

My main hobby is to draw I guess.
I also love walking, I live in a beautiful area so I'm lucky enough to just be able to go on a nice long ramble whenever I want.
I also like to cycle, I've been doing that a lot recently.
I don't do any sport outside of school, but we get to pick what we do at my school and my favourites are field Hockey and badminton. i used to ride but stopped like eight years ago.
I used to play the saxophone but quit after Grade 4, I think I'd like to learn the clarinet if I can get hold of one, I think the keys are quite similar to those on a sax, so it shouldn't be too hard to pick it up.
I listen to a lot of music, like constantly, and podcasts, but I guess thats not really a hobby.
And of course shopping!

Watching movies (namely classics and/or well-acclaimed films) and watching CNN/HNN/Fox/etc. shows like Nancy Grace and Glenn Beck tend to be my main hobbies. Oh yeah, school and sleep take up large periods of the day.

Glenn Beck is a moron. He made a entire episode with his eyes in the corner because he says we dont look at eachother enough. Too bad his eyes were sideways the whole time.

Glenn Beck is the only political speaker person on TV who both Dems and Reps like watching. Mabye because he is extremely entertaining to watch.

That he is. He's hilarious, in my opinion. :P Nancy Grace, however... >_>''

Eh, well, anyway, I guess I like writing, too, when I have the motivation. It's pretty much fan fiction most of the time; but Gaia Legends, my RPG, is an original story.

And programming is cool.

Just because people like him or he knows politics doesn't mean he has common sense. Ever heard of a jock ( Replace politics with football)? And I dont like him because he compared Jesus to Hitler.

Not a wise move.

Considering that I'm not a Christian, or, for that matter, part of any religion, I honestly don't care. I'm sure you'd be less outraged if he chose another religious figure, or someone like bin Laden who Americans typically think of as unconventional evil.

You are not boring!!
I would absolutely love to be able to sew like you can.
Of course I'd probably just use it to make clothes =)

If he said Bhudda, I wouldn't be as offended, but It wouldn't change my opinion on how moronic he is. But thanks for assuming I wouldn't care if it hurt anyone else besides myself or my religion.

Aside from my gaming and game collecting, I collect Beatles items. Mainly records and CDs, but other stuff like toys, magazines, posters, newspaper clippings, stuff like that. Very soon these two hobbies will blend once, you know, the Beatles "Rock Band" comes out. Coincidentally, they're also releasing remastered box sets of their albums on the same day, which also happens to be the tenth anniversary of the Dreamcast launch in the US.

September 9 is gonna be awesome.

EDIT: I also remembered that September 9 also marks me being 15 and a half, meaning I can officially get my learner's permit and work towards getting a driver's license. All aces!

I am an aquarium junkie.  I have like three different tanks.  My main one is a 55 gallon African cichlid tank, which some of you may remember me posting about when the heater broke and killed most of the fish.

hrmmm... what do I like to do?
I love to draw, however I don't practice as much as I should.  The same goes with instruments (I play the saxophone and trombone).  I LOVE music.  Couldn't live without it =]
I also love to read, but I've been seriously neglecting my poor books lately.
I used to write a lot, but my ap english classes kind of sucked out my creative soul. blah.
I used to play softball a lot as well, but I played my last game ever a couple of weeks ago.

I'm trying to think of something I haven't totally let go. haha.
I shall edit when i think of something

I often find myself doodling. Not really drawing anymore, just doodling little scenes of gore and chaos. I try my bahooky off to learn to play the bass guitar. I love reading dark books. Stuff like (as girly as this sounds) dark modern day fairy-tales. The DelToro, and Holly Black stuff.
I also write stories, mostly fan-fictions concerning random games/movies. More recently Left 4 Dead.
And I also collect energy drink cans. Odd yes, but I enjoy the cool designs on the cans. I have an entire shelf and a wall.  ;)

Possibly, but to me that actually does sound intriguing.  Is each can unique, or are there a lot of repeat brands?

You are weak in the force, Patawan.

But seriously, I think that is a cool hobby.
During the Olympics Coca-Cola had cans in Chinese, Russian, Arabic, and some Indian language.

And Japanese, too. The cans already exist like that in thei respective countries, the company just decided to sell them in other nations to give a sense of world coperation and to mark that they are that well known around the globe.
