I'm not talking about the obvious stars of the show. I'm talking about those little characters who, despite just giving their 2 cents and disappearing, left an impression on you.
So who would you like to see come back in the next Zelda (be it ST or the Zelda Wii)?
I personally would like to have a simmilar character to Medli make an appearance. Also, I would like to see a simmilar group of vigilantes from TP to appear again, but only if they were given larger role in the plot.
The Zuna.
Hands down the Zuna.
Makar because he was the most adorable thing I have ever seen! ;D
Definitely Midna (if it's even possible)
It would be cool to have Midna back, but part of why we liked her was because of her imp-like personality and the mystery surrounding her. That doesn't work twice with a character like her.
aunque si esta muy buena en su forma de princesa...
I actually don't want to see Midna return. I waited through the credits to see her leave with an emotional note.
I don't want to see that ending go to waste. Considering it wasn't all that fun playing through the game.
I want to see the 6 maidens from FS+ come back.
AND NAVI. I WANT THE REAL NAVI TO RETURN.
NOT A LAME RIP OFF!
I would dig it if Vaati came back... preferably in 3D form but I'm not picky. ;; he was the best evil villain ever for being 3 inches tall in reality.
Medli, Fierce Deity (does that count?) and Link (<<lol that one's a joke).
lol nah, this ain't really a character but I really do want the Ocarina back. Maybe Kaepora Gaebora.
I found Kaepora more annoying than Navi. But he was cool until he said this.
"Do you want to hear that again?
-->No (Click)
Yes"
Then you would scream NOOOOOOOOxInfinity at the top of your lungs.

Fixed because you got it wrong.
Thanks.
I was originally gunning for, "Did you get everything?"
But who else thinks he's really annoying.
I don't, really. Although I did find him annoying when he was sitting at that one place at Zora's River. Every time you fall into it, you'd end up going back, and he'd end up interrupting a retry to talk to you. >_>
Nya, I don't remember that. XP
I never fell on Zora's River, so... there's that.
I know it's strange, but I would like to have the Zolas (ALttP) back, specifically, their king actually had an impact on me, he had a weird personality.
Maple. I love the theme that plays when she's approaching and flying across the screen before you run into her. But I want to see her role expanded beyond Syrup's apprentice and person you can get hearts, rupees, bombs, etc. from. I'd also love to see her represented in 3-D, or an older version of her, or both.
I wanna see the blacksmiths back. From ALttP, I mean.
The ones from Majora's Mask would be awesome additions, too. ;)
It'd be nice to see some form of Deku leader again, or an idea of some form of society. Don't know why, but just that bit in MM seemed really cool to me when I was first playing it. Maybe it's just because I think Deku's are awesome, but I liked the whole aristocratic society they had going. XD I understand that Termina is some form of alternate world to Hyrule, and it's unlikely we'll revisit it but a character similar to the king or any of the royal family would be nice to see.

I thought we would be able to get along, but now I just don't know.
Just kidding. I'm not that petty.
But still, I'm up for the eradication, er, disappearance of Dekus. They're just so unimpressive to me.
Din was a major character, at least in Oracle of Seasons, so I doubt she counts, but what about her troop? They were a jolly band, and considering it was their job to protect Din they should have played a larger role in the story than being tossed around like puppets by Onox; come to think of it, I don't think they appear again after the opening cutscene.

Poor Dekus... so much hatred... :(
Still, a person that's not petty on a zelda forum? That's unsual... ;)
And I agree with the thing about Din's troop, it'd be nice to see them return in a more practical role... Though that would mean another story involving Din as a physical being that either needed saving or was there to be met, which is kind of off-putting for me. I prefer the gods to stay either away from current events completely or be indirect in the way they're effecting things. Having the goddesses literally appear in front of your eyes would just irritate me for no rational reason.
Thinking about it, it'd be nice to see the Happy Mask Salesman. Who always seemed to be a bit weirder and more mysterious then at first glance. Though I'm not so keen on his characterisation at the end of the MM manga... Always seemed weird to me that he would intentionally bring the Mask and cause the skull kid to wear it. Weird guy who doesn't seem to lose his memory despite your going back in time, ok. Bringer of chaos who seemingly wants worlds to be destroyed by a really slow falling moon... Maybe not.
I think the oracles were just named after the goddesses; they weren't actually physical avatars for the Golden Three.
Oh, hey, the Tokay from OoA; they were awesome, even if they did rob you while you were unconscious on the beach. Then there's Adlar, Queen Ambi's former advisor, also from OoA. You'd think that would make him an important character, but he didn't really play any role at all in the story.
I would like to see the kokori return in 3d and maybe even the minish, those races were awesome but shortlived in their own games... The minish had nice dungeons from their prospective and the kokori had the trademark lost woods with the best music ever. I would love to see them reused but nintendo is creative, they'll come with other good stuff too

Is Vaati little enough? He is a Minish, after all. ;D I'd also like to see Midna come back and Ezlo, too. They were my two favourite sidekicks! :D

How would a main villain or Link's companions count as little characters?
Because they "just left their two-cents and left."
Or
Only appeared in one game or briefly.
Exactly.

Well, what are you suggesting I put? :P
Anyway, the Deku Princess was pretty cool, too.
I want to see what would happen if all the races were put in one game. Personally, as you can imagine, I'm a big Gerudo fan, so I would love to see them more often. I mean, I was pretty happy to see the Zora, and the Gorons, but I was disappointed by the lack of Gerudo.

Think about how much space that would take up on the disc, though. I'm not even sure it would be that feasible with a MMO. Still, it's a neat idea.
Sometimes the best things take a lot of space. At least mention a few of the races every once in a while throughout the game, like in legends and somewhat. But keep the Gerudos. Make them a living race, major part of the game, if possible. Imagine what they would look like with those advanced graphics....*heavy sigh*.
Telma was only a failed attempt to remember them. Tracks of land were...too large.
I'd like to see more of Skullkid. He was one of the best villains of the series.
Skull Kid from Twilight Princess? *shudders* Gods, please, no.
Skull Kid from Majora's Mask? He was a pushover. Personality-wise, maybe.
I liked both of them, so there. :P
The one in TP had a Burton-esque look to it, which I don't know to call good or bad. But the one in MM is my favorite, with childish and dark nature, truly an amazing character (in combo with the mask, of course)

Have you ever played WoW? There are close to 200 factions, four continents (one being composed of huge mini-continent-zones), huge dynamic zoning techniques, proof-positive that anything is possible with technology. It's seriously mind-blowing how huge that game is.
I agree with Kev, not only is the technollogy advancing but also the code monkeys are coming with more sophisticated game engines that use the capacities of the console more efficiently.
In few words, I think a game with 6+ races is possible.

I have not. Totally forgot about how large MMOs are.
And no, I don't want to play WoW.

Reference Gotten.
But truth be told there actually aren't many characters in LoZ. They're been recycled a lot, But New characters I would welcome.
Vaati. For sure :p And it'd be great to see some more of Fierce Deity Link, aaaand uhm some more background info on The Wind Fish. A more personified Dark Link (Like the one in the OoT Fanfiction by Arxane), that'd be great. I'd like to see more of the Minish, but not necessarily interact with them. The Zuna people. Anyone remember this "Dark Tribe, Evil Tribe" that was mentioned several times in FSA? I'd like to see them. Grrr. And ofc, the Twili people, and I mean before or at the time they were exiled to the Twilight Realm.
As you see I like DEEETAAAILS xD
The fanfic. Warning: Incredibly long, and is most likely abandoned by the author. But the 61 chapters are very, very well written. The details on Dark Link are in the ending of chapter 55. (It reaches the point where Link enters the watertemple, so yeah, incredibly long.)

I second that. Never played MM, but FD Link looks EPIC. Imagine what he would look like now?
I want to see fierce diety link to return in some way! He was the bomb!!! I remember fighting majors with him the first time and saying wow I never want to take this mask off! Hopefully in the new wii zelda coming out they find a way to incorporate a fierce diety like character in the game, maybe link gets powered up or something. Wouldn't that rock?
Well, of course. ;)
As long as he ain't OP. If the game's still going to be very easy, then we won't really need him. He'd oneshot everything. XD
I don't think there is a way of bringing the FD without returning to the MM universe, which would rock, but at the same time, I think Termina is something that should be left as is.
You think so? But think about it....how about if the mask for FD washed up on a shoreline randomly, forgotten after years under the waves after some cataclysmic event in Termina....lots of ideas! You can't just limit one element to one part of the world! Maybe the species that became twili got a hold of the mask, and they became too powerful to control themselves, so they sealed the power in the ancient fragments of shadow Midna would need later in time, and that's why they were driven out of Hyrule!

Are you kidding? We know next to nothing about Termina; there really ought to be another Termina game so we can explore it more fully.
Unless they were to add new lands to Termina (which would, in my opinion, only detract from the game), I think it's essentially played itself out.
Exactly. Look at how much was added to Hyrule in all the games.
Have I mentioned I want the minish race/Vaati/Shadow Link to return yet? Because I want them to return ):
I kinda would like to see Sheik return (other than in smash). i realize that Zelda is Sheik but it would be cool to see Sheik running around again.
So Sheik would become the Dread Pirate Roberts? I approve of this concept. Also....
"Hello. My name is Link. You killed my father. Prepare to die."
Sheik was actually supposed to be in TP. But they scrapped the idea somewhere during development because they didn't want it to be too much like Ocarina.
I think it'd be awesome to see the Guru-Guru man again. I liked him. :D
Obligatory Midna plug
Also, I'd like to see Daphnes Hyrule aka KORL again. He has godly power, I doubt he'd let a little thing like a cataclysmic flood take him down.
I'd like to see Byrne make a comeback. At least Anjean said that he would come back in a new form without memories of the past life, but I hope they at least make him come back as a character different enough from the original Byrne but not too distorted. Perhaps they would share the same name? Sure, Byrne was a Lokomo and I have a strong feeling that the Lokomo were just a one-time race to correspond with the title like Minish Cap and Twilight Princess, but who knows? Byrne could come back as a different race. Far-fetched but here's to wishful thinking, yeah?
