Many of the dungeons in the series are underground (or, in this case, underwater), so that's why I hypothesized that.

Some drunk guy at Nintendo. :-* But it's supposedly a way to get immunity against them for a while. Nintendo isn't saying how, though.

I read that there are levels where you have to avoid the detection of guards, and using your boomerang to hit switches.
