Title: Summer Plans
Post by: alical on July 07, 2009, 03:57:59 AM
I know this is kinda late but oh well.
What is everyone doing over Summer?
I'm going to the South of France for three weeks in about a fortnight, only I am going alone (meeting relatives when I get there) and I just know I'll end up on the wrong train or tube or even worse the wrong plane ><
So yeah, anyone doing anything interesting? Or not?

I'm going to a Coldplay concert!

And I'm also working to afford something whose nature I still ignore.

*coldplay fans hi five*

I have already:
Gone to LA
Gone to Six Flags
Gone to the Beach
Gone to a waterpark
Gone to another waterpark
Gone to New York
Gone to my friends house ( alot)
Gone to a different Six Flags
Gone to Universal Studios
Played with my cousin

And I'm going to:
See my would be girlfriend from San Antonio
Go to another's friends house
Go help old people fix their houses
Go help autistic kids
Go white water rafting.

But after all these things on my schedule, my brother, still thinks I sit around on the computer. I mean, I haven't left the house since Tuesday, but that's because I hafta to rest to go to work, and I'm tired from getting back from the beach.

Wasting my life in front of a computer, which is NOT healthy.

Better than wasting your life in front of the tv.

Better than wasting your life in front of the tv.

I don't see the difference, really.

You're brain dead if you stare at the tv for hours. You're not brain dead if you read dozens of articles daily.

I've been going to the beach quite a bit this Summer, it's not hard when you can walk there in about 30  seconds, but I keep getting sunburnt. The first time it was my face and neck, my eyes were in agony, the second time it was my torso, and I couldn't sleep at all because it hurt to lie down. I hate sunburn.
Another one of my Summer plans is to get a job, there is a cafe near me which is looking so I want to apply there.
During this holiday I have done some work experience as well. A few days in a primary school, better than  I thought, the kids were nice. Second lot was a week in a nature reserve which was torture. The majority of it was footpath clearing as in cutting down vegetation with shears, in boiling weather, I also sawed wood, put up bird houses and planted trees. I ached so much by the last day. I'm not one for manual labour.
