Title: Any David Lynch fans?
Post by: Mysterious F. on October 05, 2009, 03:27:45 PM
Anyone else here a fan of director/artist/forniture designer/musician/coffee man/renaissance-man-from-hell David Lynch? I loved Mulholland Dr. when I first saw it, and I recently watched both Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart and was impressed, especially by the former. I'm also hoping to find a channel that shows re-runs of Twin Peaks, but if I can't find one I'll probably just rent the series.

I cannot lie. I have no clue who you are talking about.

David Lynch is an acclaimed director known best for his unusual and avant-garde style. He got nominated for Best Director three times for The Elephant Man (1980), Blue Velvet (1986), and Mulholland Dr. (2001). He is also known for his feature debut, Eraserhead (1977), and for the early 90's television series Twin Peaks, and he won the Palme d'Or for Wild at Heart (1990).

He's also the only person who ever made a public appearance with a cow to get an actress an Oscar nomination. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ut6zdE8qWj0)

I lied. I have heard of him before. Very interesting. Also, quite a humorous youtube video.
