My third option is Archer, by the way.  Despite only ever having read Vol. 1 of Fate/Stay Night so far.  It's like knowing General Olivia Armstrong is going to be a total b.a. just by seeing her in the opening credits.

Geez guys. Is it even a question at this point? The most manly man in anime is obviously me...

Only because Gurren Lagann isn't as widely spread, Darn America and its disproportionate focus on different Anime.

Mustangs cool, but he doesn't constantly destroy the laws of physics just because he can.

Suppose Gurren Lagann and Fullmetal Alchemist were switched around in regards to their popularity in America.  Mustang would still be among the top ranks.  He cauterized his and Havoc's wounds and immediately burned the ever-loving [expletive of your choice] out of Lust for breaking Riza, shows extreme devotion to his subordinates, plans to rise to the top of the military to bring peace to Ametris, and has one of the best Crowning Moments of Heartwarming I have ever seen (the funeral of Mae Hughes, where he tells Riza it's raining despite the sunny day).  Never mind that Mustang doesn't constantly disabuse the laws of science; his other actions makes him more of a man who can only claim to ignore gravity.

While I'm explaining why I believe Mustang is one of the manliest men of anime, let's point out why Edward deserves it as well.  Tried to bring his mother back with alchemy just to see her smile again.  Failing to do so at the cost of his leg and his brother's body, he sacrificed his right arm to bond Al's soul to a suit of armor.  At the age of 12, I think it was.  Embarks on a search for the Philosopher's Stone to restore his and Al's body to the way they were, knowing that it might not work and that he might lose his life in the process.  Joins the military to access books he normally wouldn't be able to get to, even though he has no love of the military.  Convinces Winry to not kill Scar in revenge for her parents.  Tells Winry that the next time he makes her cry, they will be tears of happiness.  Tells Rose to pick herself up and walk with her own two legs.

True, but Kamina has a great CMoH and CMoA with

Of course, this entire thread is subjective to who likes what so it really doesn't matter,  I just wanna talk about really freaking awesome people.

But personally, I believe Simon is a million time more awesome than Kamina, Kamina just has the ability to cause everyone else to be awesome, Of course Simon gets that, but not until the end of the series and only with the help of Kamina's spirit. But I truely believe Simon is better than Kamina.
