I noticed that we do not have an "SuperAnime" Topic or anything of the like, (Yes, I looked throught about 10 pages of both chatboard and General Discussion) And I thought I'd make one, post your favorite anime or anime recommendations here, of course try to keep the super hyped anime to a minimum, whether they're awesome or not, ANd let me put them up so no one is tempted to do so.
Fullmetal Alchemist
Naruto (If you're so inclined, I'm only putting it up to prevent it from being posted.)
Evangelion (for those who are more mature (Read: much) and don't mind nightmares.)
Anyway I will now post MY favorites.
Clannad, The number one on my list. Watch this anime. All I'll say is that its A great story with a really good meaning behind it. A must watch.
Also, Clannad Afterstory, but beware, watching without a box of tissue will cause house flooding.
Air, by the same people that did Clannad, not as good, but it does have a cool Samurai arc.
Canaan, for fans of the game 428: Fûsasareta Shibuya de, or people who love action anime. This is a must watch.
Cardcaptor Sakura, A magical girl anime by Clamp. A very good anime for those of you who don't mind a relationship web that looks like it was drawn by a blind 2 year old with epilepsy.
Gunslinger Girl, both this and the sequel Il Teatrino are both good action anime with a good amount of thought involved.
Hidamari (Sunshine) Sketch, a funny 4-koma based anime worth quite a few laughs.
K-ON! a funny 4-Koma based manga with really cute girls. Also really funny.
Lucky Star, Needs no explaination. 4-Koma that is legendary in laughs and cute girls. A must watch.
Kannagi: Crazy Shrine Maidens, Lol worthy, it has a story that turns pretty much non-existant, also has a few REALLY funny episodes, namely number 7. It's a sony.
Myself; Yourself, A funny anime that turns pretty tragic, the last few episodes will leave you crying. A must watch.
Rozen Maiden, A good anime that will give laughs and has a good amount of action. A little strange but good.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, "Watch it. The second highest must watch on my list. A show that literally says "Screw the rules (Of physics) I'm awesome." And then has the robotsRUN OFF OF HOW AWESOME THEY ARE! Also, ROW ROW, FIGHT THE POWAH!
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: The number 3 on my list, this will make you think, and scream cause you can't figure it out. But it's also awesome nonetheless. A must watch.
Feel free to post any anime I didn't name, and post a little about it.

Fine fine, any more things that I'VE POSTED ALREADY!?
Nevermind.
Any more?
Also, please Move this to the General Discussion if you would.

Granted, all his movies make it in.
I must say I probably like him more than any other "recent" director. To rank (and rate) all of his features I have seen:
1. Howl's Moving Castle (2004) 10/10
2. Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) 9/10
3. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (1984) 9/10
4. Porco Rosso (1992) 9/10
5. Spirited Away (2001) 9/10
6. My Neighbor Totoro (1988) 8/10
7. Princess Mononoke (1997) 8/10
8. Castle in the Sky (1986) 8/10
9. The Castle of Cagliostro (1979) 5/10
I also like most of Studio Ghibli's other films:
1. Only Yesterday (1991) 8/10
2. Grave of the Fireflies (1988) 8/10
3. Whisper of the Heart (1995) 8/10
4. Pom Poko (1994) 7/10
5. The Cat Returns (2002) 7/10
6. My Neighbors the Yamadas (1999) 6/10
7. Tales from Earthsea (2006) 3/10
I can't wait for Ponyo to get out on DVD next month.
I'm waiting for Ponyo too.
What about you? Which ones have you seen?
FMA is absolutely incredible. It's an excellent mix of sci-fi and action, with a bit of fantasy added in, as well. It's also very well-written: with perfectly proportioned amounts of both dialog and action, it never gets boring, there is NO FILLER, and the story develops at just the right pace, and each character has a unique and distinct personality that evolves through the course of the series and either changes your opinion on them or more firmly roots your opinion of them in your mind. Good and evil are constantly at war, and the show discusses subjects such as morality and the sanctity of human life, often in dramatic and serious ways. The only real flaw? The series itself doesn't wrap up the story; you have to see the movie for that.
Overall, it's pretty much perfect. 10/10
Wait, if we have a Supertelevision topic, why do we have a Superanime topic? Isn't anime a subcategory of television?
Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's delivery service, Spirited away, and Princess Mononoke.
Kiki's delivery service is one of the things that got me into Anime, along with Cardcaptor Sakura, even though the anime only aired a few episodes and they were HEAVILY censored because America is TOO correct. it'd have no problem with the YukitoxSyaoran nowadays, but when I was a kid it got half the episode removed.
Also TW, it's one of the few long anime that DOESN'T get fillerific, *CoughcoughNarutoandbleachCough* Although its not nearly as long most get filler-y.
But considering it goes completely seperate from the manga it was avoided.
and Mags, this came about 20 minutes before.

Anime is just any Japanese hand-drawn animation. Have you forgotten about
(http://www.timboucher.com/journal/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/hero-19-hayao-miyazaki.jpg)
In fact, how about we just turn this into plain-old animation, instead of just anime?
Cause I really want it for anime references to check out, i don't want the other things, i started it to get anime suggestions. XD
There are great animation besides anime, you know. A lot of the earlier Disney stuff, for instance, when Uncle Walt was still alive.
Well, if you want to post them go ahead, but try and keep it mainly towards anime, if you can do that I guess you can post western Animation too.
Anyway, I'll elaborate on Clannad.
It stars Tomoya Okazaki, a school delinquent, who meets a girl named Nagisa at the bottom of a hill. He then befriends her and finds she wants to re-establish the theater club. He befriend Several other people of the course of trying to re-establish the Theater club and finds out a lot about the value of friends and family, it sounds corny but they make it work really well, the heartwarming effect this story has in NOWHERE near as good as afterstory's but you will cry at least once.
Afterstory is Awesomeness on a whole different scale, the combined sadness and happiness will make you dry up from crying. Not counting the awesome music.

Ah, yeah, can't forget the lack of filler in FMA. Added that to my post.
Also, FMA: Brotherhood is also excellent. Whereas the original show more-or-less followed the manga up until about halfway through the series, Brotherhood follows the manga all the way. I've never read the manga, myself, but so far, it's easily just as enjoyable as the original series, still no filler, and the completely different turn the story takes really keeps my interest level high. The manga is also ongoing, so I predict the show will be, as well. It's available to watch online, subbed, right now (legally, too! :D), and the English dub should be premiering on Adult Swim this Saturday, Feb. 13, at midnight. Check it out!
My top ten for animated feature films:
1. Waking Life (2001) 10/10
2. Howl's Moving Castle (2004) 10/10
3. Fantasia (1940) 10/10
4. Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) 9/10
5. Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (1984) 9/10
6. Pinocchio (1940) 9/10
7. Waltz with Bashir (2008) 9/10
8. Dumbo (1941) 9/10
9. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) 9/10
10. Porco Rosso (1992) 9/10
I explained a little about Clannad, I'll just quote it here for easyness's sake,

Don't forget the classic awesomeness of Cowboy Bebop, an anime about down on their luck bounty hunters. In outer space.
Another anime with a futuristic, post-apocalyptic setting that I would recommend is Trinity Blood, which has an interesting take on vampire-human relations.
Speaking of vampires, Blood+ has a much better case of Our Vampires Are Different (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/OurVampiresAreDifferent) than Twilight does (this goes for Trinity Blood as well). Much, much, much, much better case; however, it is for mature audiences. As the name suggests, it does show plenty of blood, and have plenty of Nightmare Fuel (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NightmareFuel), or perhaps more appropriately High Octane Nightmare Fuel.
There's also FLCL, another anime for mature audiences only, and one I would like to finish watching someday.

Ah, good point. My mistake. ;)
Well, while we're on the topic of anime, I was very happy to find that the entire second season of
School Rumble is now on YouTube. FUNimation, I love ya! :D
But why Episodes 9 and up have TV-MA ratings is way beyond me... -_-

Those Eyebrows...
This is a really REALLY good series, but yes it's mature, I liked it.
I just watched the first episode of Gurren Lagann.
Two words: It owns.

A LOT BETTER.
BY LIKE A MILLION.
Wait until you hear /Libera Me/ From Hell. ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWAH!
Also, Azumanga Daioh, it's completely pointless and completely Hilarious, but it will make you cry at the end. It was once said Azumanga Daioh is like Peanuts on LSD. It has cute levels off the scale and has a VERY catchy theme.
THEN DARN IT, I NEED MOAR!!! :D
I want to watch Azumanga Daioh, too, but I don't know where you can watch it legally, and if there's cost involved, I don't have any money. D:
I'm very curious to where you watch Gurren Lagann.
Azumanga, I'm not sure about where you could watch it... But if you find somewhere you should cause it's very good. Also, Kimura is a freak.
It's on YouTube, actually. Yeah, I'm just as surprised as you are. :P
Well Higurashi (a great Violent, Mind Screw anime) is on there, and so is Spice and Wolf, so I'm not surprised that much.
Arashi no Yoru Ni, or One Stormy Night, is one of my favorite animated movies of all time.

LOOK AT THAT GOAT WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE
and on the subject of Miyazaki movies, Princess Mononoke takes the cake. No doubt.
I actually thought Spirited Away was Miyazaki's best movie.
Howl's Moving Castle has always been my favorite. Oddly enough, it tends to be towards the bottom of most Miyazaki fans' lists, which is something I will never understand.
At least me and Pyrgus like it best, though.
Of the movies listed that I know, Howls Moving Castle would have to be my favorite.
What's Waking Life about, though?
Here are mine (some of these are for more mature veiwers, I'll mark them with an indent):
-Abenobashi
-Photon: The idiot adventures
Spirited Away
-Princess Mononoke
Azumanga Daioh
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (It's not that mature...right?)
Tenchi Muyo OVA (somewhat mature)
Nah, Haruhi is fine.
I love Haruhi I wouldn't say it's mature.
From what I've seen of it (i.e the Abridged Series), it's not that bad. There is obviously fanservice (heck, it was lampshaded, in fact XD ), but...heh.
"Moe! Moe! All school life stories where something interesting happens always have an alluring lolita character present!"

A series of philosphical conversations between a college student stuck in a dream world and the people he encounters.
It's just easier to SHOW you, rather than tell you. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iDAaS3QiNk)

Funimation is about as legal as you can get when it comes to watching anime online. The only downside is that they naturally only carry stuff by Funimation.

I never claimed that. Guess I should have been clear and said that Funimation allows you to watch anime for free.
Oh. I already knew that, actually. They have a YouTube account where they post some stuff.
Ah, my final post here, I just got some new anime, some not released in America so Mags I'm sorry you can't check them out.
1 Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka- mature- An anime based of a light novel with the same name, it's a comedy. This kid rescues this girl from these guys and later kisses her due to a misunderstanding, then finds out she's his fiancee. It's good so far I haven't finished it, but I don't like how it ends. But Your milage may Vary. It's not as bad as some anime, but still mature.
2 Kamichama Karin- A magical girl series that is aimed at both guys and girls, if you like the magical girl genre check it out, if not then probably pass it up. Also, Koge-donbo's cute art style and characters (even the guys, trust me talk about bishota) will blow your mind. Out of your ears. On your butt. It's just so cute. Also "I AM GOD!" (reference)
3 Chu-Bra!!- mature- Ah, this is a total WJT (widget) series, It's a weird japanese thing. It has to deal with underwear (A lot, as the series name suggests.) The entire premise of the series is a girl obsessed with underwear and dealing with their bodies (A guy joins so the guy's can understand too) And given the premise of the series upskirts and fanservice abound, so not for younger kids, girls could watch it, since it's pretty educational, but still. Also I usually don't like fanservice, but Chu-Bra!! does it in the most insanely cute way, and i actually enjoyed watching the series. It's a new series so it's not finished yet. (Recommended if you're older or a girl.)
Also this is not something to watch in public, I'm doing laundry and people are giving me weird stares as I laugh my head off at this series, and when they come over they get a face full of underwear. Like I said, good series, actually sorta education (for girls and for guys to understand about girls) but bad in public.
4 Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku wo Youkoso Tsugumi Ryouhe- Holy long name Batman! I Finished this anime, It's really good, it's in my top 3. It's a Nakama Anime, like Clannad. it takes place on an island and is narrated by a guy who tells the story of his friends at this dorm. It has 6 arcs, one for each girl, and it tells the story of how they became friends and a family. The first 12 episodes go over the individual arcs, each girls has 2 episodes, The final goes over the final day where they have a going away party. The ending doesn't say who the guy ends up with so this is a HUGE shipping fest. I personally think UmixWataru is the best. But NaokoxWataru is good too. Anyway this is a good anime that will probably make you a little sad, it's touching and it's emotionally impacting (but not for the same reasons Clannad is though they are similar on parts) The series ends without a lot of closure leaving you to determine what you think happens.
There, my final post in this thread relating to anime I've watched for a while. Hope you like my reviews.
An anime I want to watch is Moetan (Don't judge me) it's a show that teaches japanese anime fans english although the phrases wouldn't come in handy except in extreme circumstances.
ANY I also notice I'm definately our resident (for lack of better word) otaku.
Edit: I wrote a review for Kono Aozora ni yakusoku wo. It's a really good anime. Also I leave you with a top 3 list of my favorite anime.
1 - Clannad/~Afterstory~
2 - Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku wo
3 - Tie between Chu-Bra!! and Gurren Lagann
Also, I wasn't here today. *wink*

It's more open to interpretation, we got people leaving the Island, some staying, some unknown, absolutely no relationship closure, but it's still really good.
And it's probably a No Export.
But luckily I saw the whole Clannad anime at F.Y.E. So go buy it A.S.A.P. Mags.
Also, been watching Moetan, Cute anime with a metric ton of loli magical girl fanservice, but not many but hardcore Otaku will like it.
But I need the moneh! D:
Hopefully that job will pull through in the end.
1 - OneManga is removing its scnalations, for those who frequent the site.
2 - I saw Evangelion 1.0 last night. A must for NGE fans. If you do get worried that it's basically reamking every episode with better animation and more epic fight scenes, that final scene will assure you that the rest of the Rebuild of Evangelion series will differ from the television series.
I figure it's time for me to give an update...
As you guys...most likely already know, I have a job, with which I was able to purchase CLANNAD and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
Gurren Lagann is the best anime ever. The end.
You obviously know that I think CLANNAD's good, so I'll skip the, "OMZVG WATCH CLANNAD IT RULEZ!!!111!" ...However, I cannot wait for Afterstory's dub. COME OUT ALREADY, DANG IT!!! DX Also, GO FU-CHAN!!! :D
Haruhi Suzumiya is also good. And yes, some of the concepts are confusing. ...What the heck happened three years ago!? D: (I also find it strange that its default language setting is the warped one. A minor annoyance, but I wish I changed the settings before I watched the bonus episode. XD )
I also bought Azumanga Daioh this morning on Amazon.com (as well as Metroid Prime Trilogy, w00t!). It should be coming in tomorrow.

You'll see what happened
Three years ago in season two when it comes out.
Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody...
That doesn't include the Endless Eight, does it? D:
Also, unfortunately, I felt the need to cancel my Azumanga Daioh order; since I'm preordering three games currently, I need to cut costs. Plus, it's taking for-freaking-ever to come in... @_@
Azumanga Daioh is great, but it's one of the things you can get and watch anytime.
And I do believe that the first discs will have endless 9 and bamboo leaf, or at least the first of endless 8, then the second disc will have the boredom and the last of endless 8. And Endless 8 wasn't horrible, just repetitive. We get some awesome shipping at the end, so it's allllll good.
Yeah, maybe. I still plan on getting it, but with Metroid: Other M, Birth by Sleep, and Skyward Sword preorders inflating my account (as well as my college books, which I still need to get, admittedly)...yeah.
Repetition is kind of a toss-up for me. Sometimes, it's okay, but of course, in video game media especially, it's freaking annoying... Still, if the payoff at the end is good, then maybe it's worth it.
TORADORA!!!!
So freaking much.
A must watch for any romance, or tsundere, fans.
It's such a great anime, it'll definately give me my usual, "Awesome Romance Anime Up-All-Night Jitters."
Watch it, 'cept you Mags, don't know where you'll be able to find it.
Do want to see.
...And yeah, I don't know where it is. Amazon doesn't have it. What gives? D:
It's the ultimate in tsundere anime, no lie, of course with Taiga (the main girl) being voiced by the Queen on Tsundere herself, Rie Kugimiya-sama, it's guaranteed to be great, not to mention it's known as one of her best roles and she got several awards for it.
Taiga has to be the most thought out tsundere I've ever come across.
I know it's been licenced just recently (and released with english subs on DVD) but I don't know where.
Double post for Bump and revival and new stuff.
Strike Witches (mature) It says mature but it's really... Not, it's more like adult.
The entire premise of the show is that these girls from ages 12-20 have magic abilities which help them fight the bad-guys who attack before WWII. Also, they don't wear pants and they wear "something that's like underwear, but isn't, so they aren't embarrassed to let everyone see it." yeah. Still, for an excuse plot it is VERY well thought out and there are tons of references to WWII aces. Namely Charlotte/Shirley.
Sky Girls - This one was released before Strike Witches and has the same character designer, which explains why the 16 year olds look 11. But this one has even better character developement and story than Strike Witches, which is saying something, since Strike Witches had a good story.
Sayonara Zetsubou-sensei - (Possibly Mature) - This is a joke series if I ever saw one. It's written by one of Japan's most famous satirists and has jokes ranging from suicide to underwear. Yeah, it's diverse and hilarious.
Genshiken - This is an anime about a visual media study group that bridges the gap between anime, manga, and games. It's full of hardcore otaku problems (I felt like I could relate really well, despite not being in Japan, since us American otaku feel at least a small part that Japan's feel) over the course of the series it definately suffers from Cerebus Syndrome, turning into something quite depressing. And next is the famous fictional anime/manga from the Genshiken universe...
Kujibiki Unbalance - One word, MOE. Yeah, it's a very moe series that strangely has a good story. This kid, with HORRID luck, manages to get into a school that uses a Kujibiki lottery to determine everything, from the school council (which is absurdly powerful, even to the point of having it's own squad of ninja assassins and meeting with world leaders) to who gets to be in what clubs. Needless to say the guy's luck starts to change when he gets selected to be the next president. A very good series.
(and because I feel like it, I'll put a Manga I've read recently in here)
Tena on S-String - This series felt like a very strange story in the first 2 books, kinda generic, full of the token loli character, tsundere, and all that, but in book 3 it turns into a more serious series, while still keeping the hilarity from other books.
Hare + Guu
Now there is a comedy if I ever saw one.
Alright, I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned Kanon here before, but I just bought the whole series on DVD (since it's so popular and licensed finding on the net is near impossible) for a really good price (29.99 for the whole 24 episodes? Awesome.)
The series is great, supposedly as good as CLANNAD, but as I have yet to finish the series (or even episode 2 but it's good already)
Mags, Get this one as you wait for CLANNAD, it's worth the buy for the moe alone. But the story makes it just as good. Bamboo Dong from ANN has it in his favorite anime list.
Also Yuuichi = Kyon in so many ways.
Also, watch Eden of the East.
/thread
Amazon.com has seemed to recommend Kanon to me. If it's as good as CLANNAD, great! Should keep me busy. :D ...I'd better build my funds up more, though, since I recently bought a new computer.
Alright, I just went out and bought the DVD of Baccano! and I have to say I am really satisfied with it.
Baccano! is set in 1930's America, over 3 years, 1930, 31, and 32, the anime take it in anachronistic order, but if you watch it about halfway through it all starts to make sense. There is no main character, there is no one specific story, and the episodes jump back and forth between each of the... 12 or so characters, my favorites being Isaac, Miria, and Firo.
The music is great, and really brings out the feel of that "Hey, we're in the 30's, the mafia rules everything, and swingin' music is all over the place. Oh, yeah, I should duck to get out of the way of those bullets." kind of mood.
Oh, and there is alchemy, monsters that kill train passengers, and immortal people. But that's not really all that important.
You can watch it free on Youtube, if you have an account and you're over 18, since it's REALLY violent. We're talking Pulp Fiction with alchemy. So yeah. It's really got nothing else other than the violence to make it so those under 18 can't watch it, save for one line said by Radd.
Anyway, if you have seen Durarara! or want to, I recommend this, since it's set in the same world and the story is set up in a very similar fashion.
Edit: Also, what is with all the crap released so far this season?
To Aru no Railgun/Index, Yosuga no Sora, Under the Bridge, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, all of it is excuses to put naked women on TV. The only decent shows this season were Bakuman, Shinryaku! Ika-Musume, Oreimo, and A World Only God Knows and Oreimo still has a lot of fanservice, but at least it's not all smutty like everything else.
Congratulations Japan, you're making my dislike anime.

Sturgeon's Law (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Ptitle3tinj4tz?from=Main.SturgeonsLaw), man. It applies everywhere.
The Sturgeon's law ratio is off on it though.
Although, it could be talking about anime in general, in that case it's pretty true.
Still, this season's good shows are REALLY good.
It's off because it's a hyperbole, not an actual statistic.
Alright, we all know I watch a lot of anime so...
It's time for... SHOE-SAMA'S ANIME AND MOE CORNER!
Alright, today's review is on Angel Beats the newest anime that is based off a VisualArt's/Key work, although strangely, this one never had a game as source material, although it could totally work as a game.
Now for the number scores.
Art: 8/10
It's no Visual Masterpiece like CLANNAD, but it was done pretty well.
Music: 9/10
The OP is great, the animation for it is awesome and the OP and ED change every so often, so it's pretty neat. The show has some Lia song (Is fanboying) and is also very musically inclined throughout.
Uniqueness: 8/10
It's most likely not the most unique thing out there, especially with Yuri who seems to be some sort of Haruhi Clone (Episode 12 mainly) But it's not a typical show either, it's got some pretty unique things, I consider it a Key story Mash-up.
Number of Times I cried: 2 and a half (I started tearing up)
Number of Times the Fourth Wall is Broken: None (But they do paint it sometimes)
Number of Times I made a Haruhi Reference: 4
Number of Completely Adorable Ships: 2 (HinataxYui and MCxKanade/Tenshi)
Now, like I said, it's not the most original thing out there, and it's more of a "Take all Key's stories and throw them into a blender to make a delicious drink" kind of thing, so it's still all good. I know I'm going to buy some figurine sets if I ever get some money. ^_^'
All in all I give it a 9/10 only because of the fact it's a story mash-up and it has a Haruhi-esque character.
Oh, and everyone thought I was Hinata from this rather than Tomoya from CLANNAD.
Also, coming soon is a review of Sky Girls and Princess Tutu.
I know it's a double post, but you'll have to forgive me, today I did something...
I "Supported the industry"
To all you pirates out there that means I bought tons of anime!
What did I buy? Mainly series I had downloaded before and really liked.
What you say?
Well...
Mahoromantic (I haven't watched it yet, but I hear it's VERY good.) $57
Sakura Wars/Taisen (It's a neat twist on the game.) $40
FLCL (9/10 It's awesome if you haven't seen it) $20
Kannagi Crazy Shrine Maidens (9/10 another amazing series) $30
CLANNAD (English dub is okay, Greg Ayres does an amazing Sunohara, enough to compensate for the rest of it.) $70 (Also, a masterpiece of a show.)
So...
a grand total of $200 somthing dollars.
I'll let you know how the anime are when I finish watching them all.
Man, I still need to finish watching FLCL. Is there somewhere I can watch it for free legally?

There are only 6 episodes if you saw 6 then it's over.
Also, while on the topic of Gainax I have seen the first 2 episodes of MahoRomantic.
Ever heard of the meme "Ecchi is bad?"
Yeah, that's from MahoRomantic... It doesn't pay heed to it's own advice at all.
Without this show I'd never know that naked Robot Maid vs Teacher battles even existed.
And now for the numbers.
First Impression.
Art: 9/10 (it's very good, and hand drawn I do believe.)
Story: 7/10 (It's not got much story as I can tell... Yet... It does seem to build tension with Mahoro's Operational Lifespan appearing at the end of each episode.)
Music: 7/10 (They aren't very... unique, but the lyrics for the ED are hilarious.)
Overall: 8/10

Yeah, I know there's only six episodes, but I only saw the first three.
I saw all six, I forget where, though.
I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, that show is messed up. BIG TIME.

Watch MahoRomantic, it's by GAINAX (same people)
You'd like it.
Double Post for GREAT JUSTICE
So, in case you were all wondering I've been running my anime blog so I've been keeping an eye out on anime related news and I discovered some while browsing stores that I'm sure MAGS wants to hear.
ONE, this month was the (re)release of both 5 Centimeters a Second, a GREAT romance anime movie with amazing art.
AND it was the release of...
Wait for it...
Wait a bit more, let Mags work up his fangirl squee...
THE CLANNAD ~AFTERSTORY~ DUB.
(Sadly the voice actors have been changed from the original dub. Can you see why I hate dubs now?)
All of you can thank me later.

THE CLANNAD ~AFTERSTORY~ DUB.
(Sadly the voice actors have been changed from the original dub. Can you see why I hate dubs now?)
I preordered
Afterstory last week, actually, so I'm way ahead of you. XD Unfortunately, though, they didn't have it in stock, so NOW I have to wait at least another week or so until they do...which is probably going to take forever, because the same thing happened when I ordered
Azumanga Daioh. Amazon, I am disappoint.
...Wait, the VAs were changed in
Afterstory? WAT. D:
EDIT:
Afterstory came in, finally! Looks like I will be off enjoying that for the next few days. XD
MEN.
I HAVE ACQUIRED AFTERSTORY.
LET US PROCEED TO WATCH THE KYOU ARC!
LET THE CRYING... BEGIN!
Edit: Okay, so Kyou's arc is actually episode 24, if you click 25 it takes you to what us listed as episode 24 instead.
Just so you know
I have just finished the second arc, and it is so good! I'm already finding Afterstory to be better than the original, and I'm only on Episode 7!
Also, as to the dub change, the voices sound more-or-less the same to me. Are you sure the VAs were changed?
That is a weird glitch. I'll need to remember that, but then again, I'm watching them all in order anyway. That won't be a problem, right?

The bit voices WERE changed, but most of the cast stayed the same, as I examine the credits.
Also, the next 18 episodes will DESTROY you Mags. Keep tissues ready.
And no, it won't really be a problem, but having it listed weird is bad, and the refresher episode that is episode 24 seems a little weird being listed as 25, but it shouldn't confuse you too badly.
Mags, I wish you luck. If you wanna watch them and skype... That'd be fun. And we'd cry together. Just let me know.
Too late. Was busy watching all day and didn't spend too much time online.
Episode 16 left me in denial for, like, two or three episodes, by the way. I could not believe that they went there... :(
I'm gonna echo some previous sentiments in this thread and say FLCL is messed up.
I alternated between "what is this i don't even" and "o_o" through the entire series.

But isn't it amazing as well? There are 13 different types of animation throughout the show (that I could count) and the music is AMAZING.
Oh yeah, the animation was awesome and I liked the music.
But... I just could not get past how messed up everything else was. XD
All of you in the U.S. who are fans of amazing J-RPGs turned anime watch this. (http://www.theanimenetwork.com/Anime/Persona-4/Episode-1/Watch)
The First episode aired yesterday and this is the legal simulcast site for the show.
So yes Mags, even you can enjoy Persona4 the Animation.
in other words, great game turned great anime. It's coming out every week on Thursday, keep checking back with it.
The most recent anime I watched was Claymore. It was spectacular. I blew through 28 episodes in three days flat. I then learned that the manga extends past the anime. Looking forward to reading.
