Title: Those Masks
Post by: daemonsage420 on April 11, 2006, 02:55:03 PM
Why does everyone who knew Darmani and Mikau think link is them when he looks very different from them? He's even wearing his green hat!

Well, that would be taken into consideration. Oh, well. Maybe our range of noticing is greater than that of Zoras or Gorons.

maybe they see the masks as the real people. what if u could play as the deku butlers son instead of a regular deku?

No idea. Mabye most people in the Zelda Games are stupid/partly blind.

Everyone sees the world a different way.  When a Zora looks upon Zora Link, they will see Mikau because the Zora Mask has Mikau's essence in it.  The same goes for the Goron Mask.  I'm not sure about the Deku Mask, however.  I've raced against the Deku Butler as Link with the Bunny Hood and talked to him as Link.

the Deku mask have to be of a deku kid who died, and the Deku princess had a crush on him ;)

My theory is; That there are some people in that world as in this one, Someone doesn't care what others were, as long as they are the same!

happy holyday to youuuuu!

And those masks are a pretty neat idea to put in a game!
Why didn't that happen before?

Maybe because the Idea would've grow old and tame by now if they did.

Maybe so, but I'm going to miss them in the other games.

The masks are also seen in TWW, remember. What does that mean?

I heard they were behind Carlov's counter in his figurine shop.  I don't think you can do anything with them, though.

10 points Hi no.

They're just there as easter eggs. Just fun to come over... They're not there to do anything else.

But what does it meen for the history of the masks and Carlov's family?

Perhaps Carlov's family came from Termina.  Teh same with Zubora and Gubora; their names are on Phantom Ganon's sword I'm told (and I believe it, for reasons I will not disclose).

yeah... Carlov is a strange guy ::)

I believe that the ones in Hyrule (the masks must be in Hyrule if their in Termina, it is a mirror world) found their way into Carlov's ancestor's hands.

Yeah, well maybe you should check out the first post. That might point you at least in the general direction of the topic this thread was created for.
