Here, you can talk about any known glitches, cheats, or Easter eggs that appear in many Zelda games. You can talk about Action Replay, Game Shark, Game Genie, etc. cheats, as well.
I'll start with the Song of Storms/Lens of Truth trick. Right after you play the Song of Storms, turn on the Lens of Truth. After about a second, your Magic Meter will stop flashing, giving you unlimited time to use the Lens of Truth. It will stop working, though, if you turn the Lens of Truth off, switch it with a different item, or go into a different room. Although this trick is, to my knowledge, only applicable in OoT, you can use the trick an unlimited number of times without any ill effects to your file. Neat, huh? ;)
I like the Gameshark code where you can levitate with L. That plus the battle against Ganondorf equals fun. If you get knocked to the ground you can just fly right back up to the top.
Here's one I read somewhere else:
QuoteIn OoT, there is something called the Swordless Link glitch. In the final battle, have Ganon whack away your Master Sword, then save and quit. Now that you no longer have the Master Sword, the default is the Biggoron's Sword.
(Note: If you go to the Temple of Time and try to return the Master Sword to the Pedestal of Time after doing this glitch, it WILL work, and you can get it back by warping back to the future. )
Now I know; you've probably heard of this before, right? Well, did you know that this unlocks other glitches in the game? Here's a couple...
After doing the Swordless Link glitch, you can now use your other C-Items while riding Epona, even the Ocarina. However, the game doesn't recognize you using the Ocarina on Epona (hence the glitch), and you'll fall through her! Discontinue the Ocarina, and you can now control Epona without riding her! The controls are like when you normally use Epona. (Note: you also see Link running around as a result of this.) I think you discontinue this glitch by using the command to get off Epona, but I'm not sure.
Another Glitch is the Hookshot glitch. After Swordless Link, launch your Hookshot at a tree while riding Epona. Since you can't be pulled of her, the Hookshot (or Longshot; either one works, but I recommend the Longshot) will stick in place. Now get off Epona, and you'll fly up to where the height level of where the Hookshot hit the tree! Now you can walk around in mid-air! To discontinue the glitch, walk into a body of water (entering another area may screw up the game; try it if you want, though; it might discontinue the glitch); the game will force you into the water. I think you can also cancel the glitch by getting hit by a Guay, but I'm not sure.
Disclaimer: Just note that these CAN potentially screw up your game, so don't try them unless you want to take that risk. Otherwise, have fun!
I heard something about a secret room in LttP where it's devoted to this kid who won a contest or something. I'm pretty sure it's only in the SNES version.
Yeah, I heard about the same thing. Someone from another site said that there isn't a 100% guarantee that it will work if you try to activate it, though. At least, I THINK they said that.
There's also a glitch in the GBA version of LttP that let's you skip the first fight with Aganhim and the first two levels of the Dark World.
I herd that on Oot there is a shop under ganons castle ???

Well...Sorta.Go inside the castle and jump down to the lowest level, then use the eye of truth to find a hidden tunnel with some fairys, and deku scrubs.
very cool
In response to my second glitch. (spoilers)
You can go and save Zelda before she was even sent to the Dark World. After you save her, the first fight with Aganhim is still there so you can watch him send Zelda to the Dark World.
OOH! OOH! I know a cheat! In OOT, go to Hyrule Castle as a child and play the Song of Storms. A hole will appear next to the tree. Go in, then bomb the walls till you find a Gold Skulltula. Slingshot it so it'll die! Then put you're back against the thing in the middle of the room that'll take you above ground. Throw the boomerang at the Skulltula token andwhen it's half way to the token, go into the thing. You'll get the token. Go back and if, when you got the token, you didn't have the complete message they give you when you get a token, you can get the token again. Do this again and again till you have 100 tokens.
GOOD CHEAT, ISN'T IT?
Yeah, it is! ;D
Just be sure that you save your game fairly often while doing this trick if you want to continue it, just in case you get the token before you enter the warp pad.
So the shop is in Ganon's Castle; I've been looking outside of it. And what's that cheat for the GBA version of ALttP?
It is in the castle, in the room with all those entrences to the sage's jails.
Yes, I found it. I'd imagine it would've been more useful if I needed those items.
There is also a Deke Scrub in the Dodongo's Cavern that sells Deku Shields. He's in the main room.
A question to the Deku: who wants to buy wooden shields in a cave at the base of an active volcano?
The shields are easily burnt in that dungeon, so if you lose yours, go buy it off of him.
Actually, come to think of it, it would be a wise idea; more shields would burn, making the demand higher.
this is not actually a cheat, and you dont use gameshark, and its not even a defect of the game: The megaton Hammer... After you take the Megaton Hammer in the Fire temple, all boss are easier to defeat. For example Bongo Bongo, when you stun him, slash his eye with the Megaton Hammer, and you'll defeat the creep in one or two minutes, and not slashing with the sword one hour, it works on all bosses ;D
Hmm... I'd better remember that the next time I fight bosses.
men.. Morfha was so easy, and bongo bongo too, and Volvagia was like toast ::)
I shall resurrect Volvagia and use him for my purposes. :D (highlight for evil effect)
Would he really listen to you? ;)
Yes, he would. He was mine to begin with. That stupid Goron "Hero" killed him for no reason, and then Ganondorf used him for his own vile purposes. >:(
Please refer to the locked Weird but interesting topic in the OOT and MM forums for another cheat.
and in the comic manga book of OoT it says that Volvagia was young Links pet! wierd :(
Wow! Really? That's DEFINITELY an Easter egg!

Okay, we're getting a bit off-topic here, guys. ;)
So, anyone hear of the Hylian Loach before?
whats that? :(
o o pick me!!!
its a fishy!!!
really? in which game? :(
Ocarina of Time. Many people say that it resembles an eel; I also heard that it's very difficult to find and catch, especially catching.
ohh, that. it was a little annoyng :(

Levitating with L is so fun... i flew so high i had to restart the game... and did you know during a conversation with someone you can levitate away?
>:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( In the wind waker a brown bitch named tetre appears if you start the game appears . >:( >:(
:-Xdont be rude >:(
QuoteIn the wind waker a brown *beep* named tetre appears if you start the game appears.
Yeah, really.
Don't say that again! >:(
Okay, anyway, straying away from the Hylian Loach, I found out about a glitch in LoZ. If you split Digdogger into three, kill one of the three, and leave the room and come back, Digdogger will be slain. Neat, huh? ;)
i dont need it cuz i never played this game and i'll never will! ;D but i feel sorry for that :P
Aw, man. You should probably give it a chance, iastreb. Sure, you may need a walkthrough, but you get a chance to play the game that started it all! ;D
If you hit a Blue Bubble with a Light Arrow in MM, you get a purple rupee. ;D
Oh, yeah! I remember that trick! It's awesome! ;D
Where is the Hylian Loach? Is it in the fishing pond?I never saw it. ???
Please respond.I would really like to know.
Calm down with the double posting, Anju. It's not allowed except for on the Chatboard.
And that question was answered earlier this topic.

I know, and baby Volvagia is so cute. Here are the 3 pages with it:one (http://www.zelda-infinite.com/files/manga/ocarina1/view.php?chap=9&page=8) two (http://www.zelda-infinite.com/files/manga/ocarina1/view.php?chap=9&page=9) and especially three (http://www.zelda-infinite.com/files/manga/ocarina1/view.php?chap=9&page=10). Anyway, If you hang on to the ledge during the fight with him, the rocks he drops won't hurt you.

He was cute. I'm might make a topic for this. Anyway, I heard that if you backflip into King Dodongo's mouth after you kill him, you end up in a giant black space.
Um, Whocares, do you have a sibling? I know you wouldn't double post. Or did someone delete a post?
Anyways, I'm going to try hanging from the ledge when I fight Volvagia. I wonder if it works for the fire.
There was a post there in between the two from iastreb and it was deleted, I swear. *This post made me a Lone Wolf Thief!*
