Rather than make a poll for this, since there's probably very few of you out there who still own older consoles, just post your oldest console here. For me, that's a NES, though it came before my time... Well, before I was old enough to play video games, anyways. ;) I'm a collector of older things, though, especially vintage items that I can still put to use, like good ol' NESsy.
So! What's your oldest console?
N64.
*Hangs head in shame.*
Ah, but the humble N64 bests the PS1 any day. ;D
Well, in my opinion, anyways. ;) Anyone else?
Erm, GBA. I don't really hang onto older consoles. I just pass them down to cousins when I have no more use for them or when they go obsolete.
GBA, though it's getting traded in soon so I can afford new stuff(DS renders it obsolete). Then it'll be my trusty GC.
I've still got the old NES, though it's far worse off than it was when we got it way back when. It's a miracle to get games to work for 20 minutes on it, let alone getting them to work at all. As such, I haven't touched it for a while.
My Megadrive! The greatest console ever!
Jungle strike!
Yea i still own an Original
ATARI
thats old yea u know with the 8 bit Graphics yea its a classic
Its Definitely the oldest
I've got a NES emulator, does that count?
If it doesn't then the oldest console I have is a PS2. Not very old, huh.
I'm just into the newer stuff, however at one point in time I did own those older consoles, now I just use my computer to play those classic games I loved from back in the day.
Shadowlink, you should be ashamed! :P Lol, joking. My oldest is my NES. Powah to the eighties!!^_^
My oldest console is my N64.
unless any of you has the brown box me and my pong might win...
i dont remeber if it was n64 or g&w
yes... name systems younger than mine, i will surely win!
Intelevion, before nintendo. ;D
Nabooru you and omni-link are the closest to me but you are at second. PONG FOREVER!
lol nice...pong *sigh
the only thing that can beat it is the brown box, and i seriously doubt anyone here has it, that's impossible.
What about a pinball machine? Technically, those came way before video games. And besides, if someone owned the original Pong arcade machine they'd beat you, Sephiroth. :P
We are talking consoles, arcade machines aren't consoles, they are arcade machines nothing more
Shh! It's my topic, and arcade machines can be considered consoles if I want them to be! >:( Besides, your Pong "console" isn't really much more than an arcade machine, considering it can only play one game. So, if you consider that a console, then an arcade machine could very well be a console, too. If not, then you don't have the oldest one after all. :P
whats a brown box sephiroth :-\
The brown box was the first gming console ever, it played games like tennis, hockey, and baseball.
mine is super nintendo, not too old compared to others. But ialso have sega game gear, if thats older than SNES....?
Technically, my oldest console is the GBA SP. I don't actually own the N64 and NES in my house (which technically isn't mine either).
i thought G&W was the first sytem created
or maybe it was a game gear :-\
G&W was the first hand held system.
Whats G&W?
The oldest game was called Tennis for Two, which was only avalable to NASA to train military pilots for hand eye coordination. Sadly, I dont think anyone legally owns one. ;)
The oldest I have is a Super Nintendo.
G&W=game and watch
what the helck is that?
its hard to explain if you have a game boy then buy an e reader and then buy the cards necesary for
the game
Is it just a really old game boy?
kinda but only plays one game
ok then
game and watch is oldest, i think. but i believe game gear came like 3 years later, its much newer.
game gear is pretty fun(mortal kombat)
what brand is G&W?
nitendo?
Intelevision was before nintendo.

The oldest hanheld, the graphics were 2d and they were like those mcdonalds handhelds as in if you held it at the right light you can see shadows where things will appear.
game and watches are actually pretty fun to play, especially the mario ones.
a piece of paper and pencil, tic tac toe, hangman those were the classics.
The aztecs used to play a game with a ball and thier hips. The losers get sacrificed. Game over pal! :D
yeah and the cavemen wit each other clubs, not as exciting as electronics.
id rather live with todays entertainment, thank you ;)
