Word on the street is that they're doing a remake of OoT on the 3DS. So...let's talk about it! :D
I do recall expressing support for a DS version of Ocarina of Time on the SandCast, months before the announcement was made. To this, I have to say...

Never mind who called it. (Besides, not all of us care to listen to SandCast :P) Let's just talk about it here in the forums.
Well, my opinion on it is that although I'm excited about a new 3DS game, I wish they would stop reusing OoT. I mean, yeah sure it's a classic but they should keep it that way. They've already made Master Quest which I think was enough. Do something new. Something fresh.

I listen to the sandcast!
Anyway, I agree, although I want to see it in a higher resolution, I think ALttP would be better to remake in 3D, since ALttP would be much more epic that way, since it was only in 2D the first time.
Imagine the later ALttP dungeons in 3D. Now shiver. Good...
Vaati, I can understand wanting something fresh, but Nintendo is working on Skyward Sword. Be patient with them.
ALttP in 3D would be interesting, but I'd like to see the Oracle games in 3D myself.
I'm not saying they shouldn't do a remake, I'm just saying they should remake a different game like LttP, OoA, OoS, etc. like some of you guys mentioned. I just feel like OoT is a goat that's been milked far too many times.
It'd be nice to see Majora's Mask. ALttP would just be too difficult to take from 2D to 3D, many of the items would have to change and many puzzles would be impossible to solve without 2D.
OLD TOPIC
BUT HEY YOU GUYS HAVE YOU SEEN THE GRAPHICS OF THE 3DS VERSION
They're incredible. The animations have been improved as well. But they kept the sounds and the effects! They're just more...advanced!
ITS SO COOL WHY AM I YELLING
I think the animations appear much more fluid, as well.
It's gonna be so nice playing this game in the palm of my hand... 8'3
Of course it's gonna be nice to play it on a portable device... I mean we all know Nintendo remakes OoT because it's a great cash cow... But still this is the first legit remake I mean the others were pretty much only ports, this is a complete upgrade on it's looks and everything XP
I saw a video of someone getting to play a demo of OoT 3DS, but unfortunately their camera couldn't really capture the 3-D effect. I do rather like the new control pad on the 3DS itself. It's going to come out this month on the 27th for....a hefty amount of money. I don't think I'll be getting the 3DS nor OoT anytime soon. I'll probably just wait until I can get a used one.
Yeah, this is probably the most expensive handheld console I've ever seen...which is understandable, because it is, after all, VERY advanced.
I'm just waiting for them to make an XL version of the 3DS so it will depreciate the value of the regular 3DS. XD
