So, I finally installed it to my computer, and have barely done anything but play it all weekend. Since it's such a popular game, do you guys, like, play it? :P I don't know exactly how it works, but is there some way for all of us to like, use a mutual server at the same time, or like, get notified when others are on line? :3
Dude, are you serious? I got the game last Christmas, it's one of the only games I still play!
Inorite? :O It lagged on my computer, so I made my mom get a new one today. :P
I am ADDICTED to TF2. I've quite possibly played it more than any other game. I also enjoy mapmaking and I've gotten two maps a friend and I worked on on two diferent servers.
Also, the Steam friends list is a great way to do all of the things you asked. It can notify you when friends are online or when they're playing, and if they are playing, you can see where and join them if you like.
Both of y'all, send me a Steam friend invite. I'm MySegaSaturn.
Also, since the last time you were here I built myself a killer gaming desktop. I run the game with all the settings as high as they'll go at 1080p and it looks beautiful. :3
Searching...
... It said it doesn't have this video chip registered in its database. Only half of the picture is displayed on my screen. WHAT DO I DO!?
I'll need a bit more information first. What are your system's specs? Like, processor, graphics card, RAM, etc.?
Alternatively, if you bought one at a store, tell me the brand and model number and I can look it up.
Hey Fishy, you might wanna PM him all this stuff. I did, it helped A LOT.
By the way, Bradley, I accepted your friend invite. :3
Not sure when I can get online, though. I'm on my Steam-less laptop right now and I'll be a bit busy before long.
Never mind. Thanks to my 1337 |-|4X0|2 5|<!115, I like, stretched it in every which way to make it fit. :D
Edward, I sent it. Brad, add me to. BK201XIII
I accepted it. :D
Also, for your own sanity, I would much recommend to NOT get into item trading. Everything about it bugged the hell out of me and I was spending more time trading than playing, so I quit. The most I do now is quick item swaps with people if, say, I have a weapon they want and they want to pay me for it. (And often I'll just give it to them for free anyways.)
... I don't even know what that is, so you don't have to worry about that. :P
You'll learn before long, and trust me when I tell you to not get any more involved than I am now. You'll go out of your mind otherwise. D:
You got it. >_>
Wanna play? Like, now? ;D
Sure, why not?
... Well that was interesting. We spent around 2 hours on TF2, and played for anout fifteen minutes. :P
Worth it, though. :D
TF2 is amazing. I don't play it nearly as often as I used to because of my terrible computer, but if I'm ever on go ahead and shoot me a message or something.
Steam name: Tacheonblack
So that's why you never play.
Or why you're never on Steam for more than ten seconds at a time.
ಠ_ಠ
Dude, is there anyone here who doesn't have Steam?
I have it on my old computer. Too lazy to redownload at the moment, though.
So...
I end up playing this game every day after school, and as much as I can on the weekends. My brother and I have amassed 440 hours so far. @_@
But you guys are almost never on, or you're playing something else. =3=
Hey, that kinda sounds like here!
I'd like to be on, however there is the little problem called a dead sound card. >:(
Damn Inspiron 5150...
You poor thing~ How do you still wake up in the morning? ;_;
OH! That reminds me!
I don't have the right video card for all these games. TF2 isn't that much of a problem, but things like Poker Night at the Inventory lag like CRAZY. I can't even play Monday Night Combat. XP
Is there any way I could, like, get a new card, or beat up my computer until it succumbs to my demands?
If it isn't a Laptop, you may be able to upgrade it.
Great! :D
Do you know how? >.>
That I do not. Mags might. He's the computer nerd.
Since I don't know what your computer is like I can't really make any recommendations, but it's generally as easy as "unscrew and pull out old card/plug in and screw in new card." However, like I said, I know nothing about your computer, so I can't judge what would be good for your current processor/RAM/power supply setup.
What kind of computer is it? Make/Model number?
Um... I'm dreadfully sorry, but I know almost nothing about computers. >_> Let's see if I can find what you're asking for~
HP Pavilion 6614f
Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit
Intel Premium Processor 5500
750 GB Hard Drive
Intel GMA X4500
Is this what you need? :3

how much RAM do you have? It's probably listed as Virtual Memory. Also, list the specs on your video card.
Assuming you have DirectX, press Windows Key + R to bring up the run menu, and type in dxdiag
that should bring up the DirectX diagnostics screen, which will hopefully give more info on your computer.
Um, let's see...
5120MB RAM. Where do I find the specs for the video card? My best guess is display, so here it is~
Name: Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset
Chip type: Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
DAC Type: Internal
Approx Total Memory: 1695 MB
Current Display Mode: 1366 x 768 (32 bit)
That's weird... On the computer itself, it says 64 bit...

The display mode is probably 32-bit because you have a 32-bit PCI adapter for the display. Not much you can do about that. Do you seriously have 5120MB RAM? I find that awfully hard to believe, are you sure it isn't 512MB? 5120 is not in a logical RAM format, RAM generally goes in increments of 512, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, up to 8GB. 5 gigs of RAM is... really weird.
Yeah. I think he means 512.
It says "5120MB RAM." I don't know a lot, but even I know that's weird. XD
It's POSSIBLE you have 6G of RAM and the computer is taking up 880MB of it, but I dunno...
... Regardless, what should I do? >.>
This is how I see Half Life 2.
I come across a complicated puzzle.
Plan A:
Try and solve the problem.
Estimated time it will take for me to run in circles, kill myself a few times, and then solve it: 45 minutes.
Plan B:
Use the gravity gun to pile up random objects into something I can stand on, and use it to shoot my vehicles over walls to bypass the puzzle completely.
Estimated time: 5 minutes.
I'm so bad at this game. XD
Yeah, it takes everyone a while to figure it out.
