Post by: iastreb on April 25, 2006, 11:16:31 AM
now... im going to buy a DS and i want to ask a little information... a, you can talk everything you like about Phantom Hourglass, i looked at the trailer and its cool! ;D about the DS... is it true that DS have a slot for Game Boy Advance games, and if you have one, which games do you have?
ZV: I shortened the name of the topic. it was too long and seemed to clutter the page.

Yes, yes, it has a GBA slot. However, it won't play any other GameBoy games...

Anyways, I do own a DS, and I have:

Super Mario 64 DS
Tony Hawk's American Sk8land
Mario & Luigi 2: Partners in Time
Kirby Canvas Curse
Metroid Prime Hunters
Mario Kart DS
Meteos

And... that's it. Oh, I also have the Metriod Prime: First Hunt demo, but that doesn't really matter...

I think that drawing on them is an optional feature. So, having classic dungeon maps could be a possibility.

Shouldn't you do the Paper Mario thing? You know, hold up your hands and hump the air?

Y'know, being as how Link wakes up on a mysterious island, this new game sounds a lot like Link's Awakening.

So do we know anything about the plot yet?

Link, Tetra, and the crew are looking for a new land to call Hyrule when they get in some kind of storm, I believe.  Tetra goes missing, and Link has to look for her.  Something like that.

Oh yay tetra is in it! So does that mean it goes along with WW? like Oot goes with MM?

Right.  PH takes place a few months after TWW.  It was stated at E3.

For a mre full plot...

Link and Tetra are sailing to explore the uncharted reigions of the sea. They find an abandoned ship. Tetra goes to investigate and doesn't come back. Link goes to rescue her and falls in the sea. He is awakened on an island by the sound of a faeries voice.

Apparently there is one dungeon to beat but to progress in it you need to beat the other dungeons.

I've got a DS. Nicknamed him Canada.

I've got Pokemon Ranger, Pokemon Mystery dungeon blue, Yoshi's Island DS, and Harvest Moon DS.

I feel like such a child when I say that...

I usually keep Pokemon Emerald/LG/FR and Yoshi's Island in my DS case. xD;

Phantom hourglass is gonna be awesome, but... I don't know, I'll cry when I use the stylus too much... it hurts Canada's poor faceplate. </3
