Um, just read this. (http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/04/sony-admits-utter-psn-failure-your-personal-data-has-been-stolen.ars)
Damn, Sony, you really dun goofed this time. Not only has the service been down for nearly a week now, this happens?
Thankfully I never used a credit card to buy stuff on the PSN...
Hahahahahahahaha wooooooooow
Yeah, I saw this coming. Someone mentioned that the PSN had been hacked, and the first thing that popped into my head was "well, there goes everyone's privacy".
Ah well, here's to the end of the world, yeah?
Yep. Here's to it. *Clanks drink*
You know, it is times like these when I'm glad I stayed away from Sony.
Eh, I'm still happy I went with Sony. Makes me wonder just what is going on back there, though... I've heard rumors Anonymous is behind it because of Sony's treatment of the guy who jailbroke the PS3, but then again whenever something undesirable like this happens I think they're always the first ones people think about. "Internet hate machine" and all that.
Whenever something bad happens behind the scenes at the video game companies, the companies themselves are always to blame. Remember what happened in the incident when the Wii no longer had good games? Guess who was blamed!
I think it's Bill Gates trying to destroy the competition. >_>
In this case, though, it's Sony's own fault for creating a security hole in the first place, which is something that all software engineers need to try to avoid when writing software. To quote two wise ones: "All input is evil until proven otherwise."
And another thing: "Programming is like sex. If you make a mistake, you have to support it for a long time." Well, looks like they have a mistake to reverse now. Good luck, Sony!
Maybe it's Firefox 3.

Worth it XD
In any case, I don't know who is to blame for this. It doesn't concern me as an XBox player, but it does concern me as a gamer. I have a lot of good friends that are going to feel royally screwed for this.

I don't think it's Anonymous. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Anon usually just does stuff for lulz. I've never heard of identity theft stuff from them.

Anonymous
used to do things for the lulz. Now, anon is tainted with "lolol desu kawaii~ let's change the world guise ROAN PAAL 4EVA LONG CAT IS LONG" idiots who didn't understand the original cause.
Essentially, they've gone from a republic of ***holes to a galactic Empire of idiots.

And you should never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

I don't appreciate you calling everyone I love including myself stupid. >:(
You are not part of the general population, nor is anyone else at TDC or their family members/friends. We're better than normal people. This is why we like Zelda :P

And I don't appreciate you implying that I'm excluding myself from calling people that, which I never said.
Actually, you know what? I redirect you to Tacheon's post above.
Quick question, should I take the fact that I haven't received an e-mail from Sony or the fact that my bank account is undisturbed as a sign that I'm not affected?
They were really late in sending out emails, but I got a notification from them on Gmail earlier today.
Yeah, I only got one yesterday, it looks like.
Way to keep on top of things, Sony. :/
I rest my case. Sony is just screwing up everything lately, aren't they?

Lately?(http://static.funnyjunk.com/avatars/trollface.jpg)
To be honest, this is the first time I've seen Sony screw up since that clock programming error fiasco months back.
I got an email from them. I was surprised, then I remembered I had an account on Scotty's PS3. No personal info, though, so I should be good.
Still haven't received any e-mails.
PSN was hacked again.
Sauce, please.
I HOPE it hasn't been hacked again. Sony was giving out free games as compensation. D:
It said so on my Wii news two nights ago. You can't go wrong with Wii news. [/sarcasm]
CONFIRMATION: I found an update on the situation, though. (http://www.foxnews.com/scitech/2011/05/20/sony-hacked-playstation-so-net-isp/)
Oh my God XDDD
Sony is just...
A lot of people must really hate them.
And now I have a reason not to be fond of Sony. Even VG cats got a hold of the situation, even though it was shot at the first incident. (http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=302)
Is it wrong for me to find this hilarious? I mean, it's awful, definitely, but it's also kind of funny from an outsider's perspective.

It's like real old school comedy that you don't see anymore.

^I lol'd. But yeah. I took one look at the headline on Wii News channel, and I was all "Oh, no, not again."
