Osama Bin Laden is Dead (http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/05/02/bin.laden.dead/?hpt=T1)
I don't know what to think. It's like when Michael Jackson died- I just didn't believe it at first. He's finally dead. It isn't over- but this is a serious turning point in the war.
The Hide-and-Seek world champion for ten years has finally been bested.
You will not be missed.
Yes he deserved to die, and I hope he burns in hell

I second that. And isn't that from a Samuel L. Jackson movie? XD

Death was too good for him. I would have preferred he be captured and returned to the states. Tie him to a chair in a locked room with Uncle Sam, Captain America, Major Glory, and Guile. I'm sure he would have received the death penalty anyway- but still. He didn't deserve a death so quick.
Unless I missed something my only theory regarding that is perhaps he was killed in self-defense. Hell, he was a terrorist mastermind who probably slept with an AK-47 under his pillow. There's no way he wouldn't put up a fight.
I don't know, though, I haven't heard much about it other than he was livin' large in Pakistan...
Still, I wanted to see a body, or even visual proof/confirmation of his death. Apparently, they tossed his body in the ocean, and aren't planning on releasing any photos. It really irks me. Not that I don't trust that he's dead- I just wanted to see it for myself. Also, the lack of visual evidence is just going to feed the annoying conspiracy theorists.

Oh god no. That was one of the first things that came to my mind when I read the part about them throwing him into the ocean.

Me too.
"OSAMA NEVER BOMMED US IN THE FRST PLCE IT WUZ R GVT AND NOW THEIR LETTING HIM GO BEX IT WAS NEVR HIS FALT TO BEGIN WITH AND THER LYING THESE R B FACKS!!!
>.<
I already have a friend who doesn't believe he's dead. I think as Americans, we deserve to see pictures. It's something we've all wanted to see for a very long time. I heard Osama's son was killed too in that firefight. No confirmation, but I
did hear.
I think they said he got shot in the head. Maybe there wasn't anything left to take a picture of. I wonder if there will be "unofficial" pictures of his dead body will pop up at some point. Saddam Hussein's execution video ended up getting leaked by an unofficial source, but I don't know about bin Laden. It doesn't sound like they allowed people to get too close to him with their camera phones.
I saw a photo of his corpse, I tried to find it but it's been taken off the Book of Faces. I can confirm however that he was shot through the head, and I'm willing to stake my reputation that it was actually him.
Well, I can rest easy knowing that he's gone now. Hey, Bin Laden, enjoy the Ninth Circle of Hell, and say hello to Vlad, Adolf, and Joseph for me, now would ya?
There's a recorded news program on YouTube from some some Middle Eastern country (I can't recognize the the language) that shows his face. It looks like him and he looks pretty dead to me. The video is getting flooded with a bunch of idiots saying "OMFG BIN LADEN IS ALIVE HE'S A US AGENT OBAMA JUS WANTED 2 GET REELECTED!!!!!!!"
Edit: You can also find the picture by doing a Google image search.
I'm sorry, but this has to be said...
All day I've been looking forward to what Steven Colbert has to say XD

Lol so have I. This will be an interesting night.
I gotta say that the first time I heard this, I suspected some trolling was at work. I guess it wasn't the case this time around. We'd better not let our guard down over this, though.

Had to share. It's totally true, and a lot of Americans are less skeptical than just plain pissed off. I wanted to see his dead body! I'd like proof that I'm absolutely safe. Just some sort of physical evidence. It's not that I don't trust our government, but it wouldn't be the first time they completely lied to us to make as feel safer than we really are.
What, just because we killed Bin Laden means we're perfectly safe? Were you born in a cave? If you killed the pope, a billion Catholics would systematically destroy you and everyone you've ever known and loved. Now imagine you've just killed the leader of one of the most ruthless terrorist organizations, ever.
They're not beefing up security at military bases for no reason, you know. It's perfectly reasonable to expect retaliation and to prepare accordingly.
My Dad was just telling me this two days ago. Now that the leader has been killed by our men, we can expect several attacks on civilians from this point on. We may have killed their leader, but the last thing I heard, they have not yet sent in a single sign of surrender. Which means that they could still be going strong. And they will be angry. :(
There are hundreds, maybe even thousands of cells of Al Qaeda, including splinter cells who don't particularly care for much of Al Qaeda's main philosophies but still believe America needs to die. And they'll take this as spitting in their face.
Don't worry though, they're not a nuclear power. They'll probably have very powerful weapons though. To be safe, stay away from major metropolitan areas for the next few... years.
Sucks for the people I know who live in New York/Southern California. D:
Yeah, I think I'll stay here for the time being. :) However, if they do attempt any attack of the sort, it will spark an all-out war.
EDIT: In other words, the war will get worse than it already is.

Well, I have to admit, that is pretty funny. But you also have to remember that this is the freakin government we're talking about. Unless someone were to hack into the mainframe and find the photos themselves, we're not gonna see them.
...Or if you want, you can go through the sea and bring up Osama's decaying corpse yourself if you're up to it! :)
Imagine that Al Qaeda killed Obama and took pictures. Now imagine that they decide to post them online, as well as through every major news channel. America would be in such an outrage that every man who could enlist, would. That's the government's stand point right now. We don't need to go glorifying this, it may be best to just lay it to rest. Al Qaeda has promised revenge on Pakistan and the US already. Evidence was found not too long ago (so I heard) that an attack on a major train in the US had been in the works following Osamas death. That's the aggression we are getting without showing the world his dead face. Personally, I'm okay with no pictures. I actually do believe he is dead, and I am satisfied. Thats just my opinion :)
