I just got hit by an earthquake.  Hell of a way to wake up.

If my flight yesterday hadn't been cancelled, I would have felt it.

I didn't feel it. :/

But then again, I was probably a few hundred miles from the epicenter to notice.

Didn't feel a thing. (Live in Pennsylvania, where a lot of people apparently felt it.)

I felt it, but I thought it was my dog Zoe hitting the table.  I didn't know it was an earthquake until my dad called from work to see if everything was okay at home.

They say that people in Chicago were able to slightly feel it. I didn't feel a thing.

Still, the damage had to have been a bit worse than that, right? Are buildings on the East Coast even built for earthquakes?

Blah Hurricane Irene. I'm trying to get moved in here and now I have to take all these precautions and preparations with most of my stuff still in storage. I need my beddings :/

Extent of the earthquake was small cracks in the washington monument.

The hurricane has caused more damage.

All I had to do the day after Irene was just help my dad pick up branches off the front lawn.
