I was looking at the official art for OoT Princess Zelda as an adult and I noticed that between the Triforce and the phoenix on her dress was the symbol for the Sheikah. Why would a Hylian princess have that on her dress? Does it signify that the Sheikah are their servants, or does it signify that the Royal Family has some Sheikah in their blood?
They do protect the Royal Family.
Zelda's attendant Impa was a Sheika and Zelda was capable of spending seven years as a shiekah, so chances are she has a closer link to the shiekah then most.
Impa is Zeldas Nanny.........
I don't think nanny was ever used in the Japanese version. At least not in LoZ, and I believe they must have used the same word in OoT as in LoZ.
Either way, the the main belief is that the Sheikah symbol is there because Impa is Zelda's protector? It is logical and it has more evidence to back it up than Zelda having even the tiniest amount of Sheikah in her. I still have to wonder about that, though. That symbol isn't there as a child. And it is possible for Zelda to be a little bit Sheikah if Zelda was able to successfully disguise herself as a man.
Not only that, but as a Sheikah man. That may be a reason.
I need to say this: The original symbol was just an eye, but when one Sheikah messed up big time and the King fired them all, the tear was added to show their sadness for the Hylian knig's actions. Proof: http://www.zelda-infinite.com/files/manga/ocarina2/view.php?chap=2&page=11
Magna isn't considered canon, Whocares.
Still, it brings a tear to your eye (get it?) that they were mistreated. I mean, this explains alot.
