I care about the figurines a lot! You get a closer look at some of the monsters and characters, learn their name, hobbies secrets etc. I like zll the information. Hey did you know that if you take a picture of Tetra, you will get her figurine, along with all the figurines of her crew members! And can you tell me the description of the trophy of link? I Havent got all the figurines!

Post by: Mysterious F. on June 02, 2006, 04:45:02 PM
1) I did know you can get figurines that way. 2) He's riding the King of the Red Lions. I don't have them all either. All I have to do is get a figurine of Master Wizzrobe in the Wind Temple (he's the miniboss) and one of Puppet Ganon and I have all the limited time offer figurines. I'm in the Earth Temple as of the moment, though.
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: Zelda Veteran on June 02, 2006, 05:12:24 PM
you see, those are the limited time pictures, so i cant get them now. I was too stupid to take them. And whats with limited time trophies?
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: Mysterious F. on June 02, 2006, 06:21:24 PM
Well, here's those figurines: Tetra and her Pirates) Take picture of Tetra at Hyrule Castle, you get the rest of the Pirates with her.    Zephos and Cyclos) Take a good picture of Cyclos's cloud before you beat him to get both in one figurine.    Kogoli) He's one of the Rito. Get a few feet north/ northeast of the island with the Wind's Requerium stone thing and look up. Take the picture of the Riot on the left.     Puppet Ganon) Take his picture in his first form. The best chance is when he's on the other side of the room.     Big Octo) Best time is when he's first out of the sea.     Master Wizzrobe) miniboss of Wind Temple, it's hard cause of the monsters. I don't know which monsters are safe to have on field when you take his pic, so you're on your own! ;D     Phantom Ganon) Take picture of his entire body. Only chances are at Foresaken Foretress and Ganon's Tower.

You can fight Gohma, Kalle Demos, Jalhalla, and Molgera again, but the others, no. Also, you can take a picture of Gohdan after you beat him because he attachs to the wall, so a picture is still available.

Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: Mysterious F. on June 24, 2006, 08:21:41 AM
I can't remember exactly how to get there, but I'm sure another site's walkthrough can tell you. Also, I'm going to go get Puppet Ganon's figurine after I get the Triforce of Courage, which will take forever.
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: king of red lions on June 25, 2006, 10:54:32 AM
I was joking! You just keep going up the bukkka bubba pods and use the deku leaf to reach the island. TO get pupet gannon's picture, you need to stun him then take it.

~THanks any way! ;D
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: Mysterious F. on June 25, 2006, 11:38:06 AM
I know how to do that, and I prefer taking a picture of his first form when he's on the other side of the room.

Enemies and bosses are the hardest figurines to get because they always attack me before I can take their picture.  :'(
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: LadyNintendo on September 30, 2006, 12:34:50 AM
For bosses, I recommend taking three pictures and to use their movements in your advantage. For instance, if you hit Gohma with the rock, get ready. Turn around quickly, take the picto-box, and watch Gohma putting the ceiling back. You should be ready to take a good pic as soon as she/he is ready to attack you again. The bosses' recover period is important if want to take a good pic.

For random enemies, it's usually good enough to run away a little and take the pic when they're coming towards you. It might be a good idea to first kill all enemies, untill the one you want a picture of is the only one left. For Darknuts, that works very well. For Floormasters, I recommend trying to find one who throws stuff at you instead of trying to grab you. The Earth Temple offers a good oppurtunity. And I would try a sub for miniblins.

I have a question. I have beaten Jalhalla, (The boss of Earth Temple) but i forgot to take a pic of him. Can i still take a pic of him, in Ganon's Castle and make Carlov make his Figurine?
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: LadyNintendo on October 06, 2006, 11:47:10 AM
Yep, you can. Every boss can stil be taken a picture of in Ganon's Tower. For Gohma it's even the only first-file chance you'll get.

Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: Mysterious F. on October 11, 2006, 03:41:03 PM
This appears to be getting a little off topic, but no need to worry yet! Also, I collected all figurines except Knuckle, who I couldn't get because I didn't use the Tingle Tuner. Actually, it's a good thing not to get it. If you do, you can't get any more after that.
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: Vaati on October 11, 2006, 03:44:12 PM
In the wW strategy guide, it says that the Nintendo Gallery would be completed even if you don't have a picture of Knuckle.

Something like that, i haven't played it lately, and I don't remember the full details. I posted it somewhere in this topic already, though. Wait, no I didn't. I can't remember  what site I got it on, either.

Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: LadyNintendo on October 12, 2006, 09:02:34 AM
Nothing special happens when you've collected all figurines. It's just Nintendo's way of introducing the full cast of the game. The gallery is considered complete when you have all figurines. You'll be rewarded with the (free) final figurine then. Knuckle's figurine however is the only figurine not required to have the "complete" collection. In other words, you'll get the final figurine with or without him. The others you do need.

What a dissapointment!  >:(  :(
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: LadyNintendo on October 13, 2006, 08:04:55 AM
A lot of things you can do in The Wind Waker don't have a (real) reward. While I could think of a ton of things they could've added as to make some quests worthwhile (like getting all figurines in TMC gets you a heart piece.), I do think it's nice the focus now lies on the action itself rather than the reward.
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: Mysterious F. on October 13, 2006, 12:25:49 PM
Yes, also it gives you secret info when you get a figurine too, like weapons best to destroy certain monsters, so that is helpful.
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: Vaati on October 13, 2006, 01:02:10 PM
About the picture of Knuckle, I have the Tingle Tuner, and I did all the things Knuckle told me to do on Outset Island, but when he tells me to jump off the suspention bridge, I do it, but I can't find him!  :(
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: LadyNintendo on October 13, 2006, 11:16:12 PM
That's an easy one I had troubles with too. You see, you are not supposed to jump, but to fall. So walk SLOWLY to the edge and press A to let Link fall. You'll miss the safe landing spot and get hurt when you reach the ground. That, and Knuckle will indicate you've succeeded.
Title: Re:Figurines

Getting the figurines was actually quite fun. I wish they had done something like it in TP so I wouldn't have completed the game so quickly ...
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: chicknumber2 on December 30, 2006, 07:15:05 AM
i thought it was soooooooooo boring

and what happens once you've got them all
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: LadyNintendo on December 30, 2006, 09:21:59 AM
Well, you don't HAVE to do it. But some of us thought it was a nice sidequest and really liked the info and hints given about characters that way (about Koboli and the Running Man for instance). It also gave you a nice chance to get a closer look at them. (Snake on Tingle's clothes, the Wind Tribe are Humans etc.)

It doesn't get you anything in TWW and a heart piece in TMC. But it's fun, and a lot better than this:
"He's King Bulbin! Look, the japanese site says so itself."
"They tend to change names when the games comes to the west. We don't know if that's his name for us too."

Darn, I just want to know what some people and enemies are called and some funny info. I don't want to have to use a completely different source to figure out the monkey king is called Ook and the new Babas are Hebi Babas.
Title: Re:Figurines

Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: LadyNintendo on December 30, 2006, 03:18:03 PM
Like I said, you don't have to do it! Just like in MM, I usually don't get heart container nr. 20, because I absolutely hate the mini-games needed to get the final heart pieces. They're tough. If you think it's boring, don't collect them.
Title: Re:Figurines
Post by: Evahn on December 30, 2006, 05:53:42 PM
I think they did the figurines originally because we didn't have fairies to tell us the names of the enemies. The figurines were better than searching for poes in TP. I still don't want to look for the last twenty ...

And the red babas are called Hebi Babas? I didn't know that ...

The figurine side-quests in both MC and WW are a pretty cool add. One bad thing about it in MC is that if you don't do it in-between dungeons, it will be harder to find shells. You can get them in chests in the dungeons, but be sure to get rid of ones your holding rather than keeping them till the end since you can only hold about 100.

Just saying. :-*

You can hold 999, and this is TWW figurines, not TMC.

I wish they had a figurine for some some of the houses, that would be nice. Or mabye an island.

Ah, the figurines are really bothering...  ??? Why do they have to be so "hard" to collect. They're so many, spread all over, I wish there was a way to just magically POOF them all there... It's also so useless, apart from the information.
