This has nothing to do with his political beliefs, but because of his comments about rape being a legitimate form of conception.
Uh... that was Todd Akin, not Paul Ryan.
It was Paul Ryan. Todd Akin was the one who said: “It seems to be, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, it’s really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.” SRC (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/21/us/politics/rep-todd-akin-legitimate-rape-statement-and-reaction.html)
Here is Paul Ryan's comment on rape: "Well I'm very proud of my pro-life record, and I've always adopted the idea, the position, that the method of conception doesn't change the definition of life." No, no, I'm not talking about him. Mike Rowe is cool. I'm talking about Denis Leary. He's the guy who narrates the Ford commercials that have the huge blocks of text that fly around the screen, like this one. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnfE5zODgak)
Oh, right. Well, Dennis Leary is also a really cool dude, and very funny. He just loves money, and Ford has money.
Denis Leary stole from Bill Hicks. SHAME.

I was particularly fine with them as Star Wars movies, the only things I want retconed are Padme and the romance scenes. She never was mentioned later on, after all. Replace her with a hoe, and replace the romance scenes with Anakin discovering greed and power after getting a brush with the Dark Side, and there you go. Same results.
Oh, and be sure to replace Hayden Christensen with someone who can act. >_>
I am looking forward to the future movies as well, seeing as how well Disney did with the Marvel movies.
I didn't particularly care for the Anakin/Padme romance either, but I don't think they need to get rid of it. It just needs a lot of fixing up. Padme was a bad*** in I and II, but then she gets to III and she "lost the will to live"? What the hell is that crap? It would have been better if Padme hadn't recovered from Anakin's Force choke and she died from that instead of a broken heart. Perhaps put a little less focus on Anakin joining the Dark Side to protect Padme. It should still be a factor, since it was the motivating force for Anakin's desire to get more power, but we've already seen that Anakin has trouble controlling his anger; they should have played that up, but without making Anakin a whiny douchebag in the process.

Hey, no spoilers, bro. :P
I don't like the prequels one bit.
Hayden Christensen is a good actor. He really is. He was just... not given much to work with.
Not that I'm knocking the prequels (not that I think a lot of people would mind, of course...), but I think a big reason why the prequels fell flat in a lot of people's eyes was because of the lack of peer editing of the storyboards and the like. Episodes IV, V, and VI didn't have that problem.

Also, too much blue screen. People are either walking in front of a blue screen and talking, or sitting on couches (seriously, about 10% of the prequels is spent on couches) and talking, or fighting against a blue screen.
That's more of a special effect thing, in my opinion. There's quite a stark contrast between the final battle between Obi-Wan and Anakin in Episode III and their rematch one film later. Seriously, watch those two back to back, and you'll be begging for a blue screen.
No. The fight between Obi Wan and Darth Vader in episode IV was infinitely better than the one in episode III. Special effects don't really do it for me when they're used in place of actual action and skilled direction. I don't care how many magic lava backflips they can make Ewan MacGregor do through visual effects, that's just big-budget masturbation.
Well, Lucas filmed several scenes in Episodes II and III with one actor up against a green screen reading their lines. Lucas would then edit them into whatever part of the shot he wanted. And yes, this includes dialogue scenes between multiple characters. Part of why they look so stiff.
That's alright. I lost any respect I had for him a long time ago.

Fair enough. Authenticity has its own charm, after all.
Although I still think the flynning in
IV looks pretty narmtastic after watching the prequels. It wasn't even trying to be subtle. To me, while it was still flynning in the prequels, it wasn't as easy for me to notice since the number of actions per second was an order of magnitude higher. Or maybe it was just the flashiness that distracted me.
Before you guys kill me, though, the final lightsaber duel between Luke and Vader in
VI was nothing short of epic.
I still have some for him, namely for how much he has advanced special effects over the years and how he and Spielberg have worked to improve the quality of the film stock used in movie projectors. Other than that...

Woah, this just blew my mind. Sign me up!
The problem is that there's no black-and-white line that dictates where hate speech begins and expression of beliefs ends. Fred Phelps is an ex-lawyer, and as such he knows how to exploit all the loopholes. The way he's been conducting this has made it difficult to convict him of anything the few times he's been tried, and the one time it looked like he'd be convicted (for assault) he ended up getting a mistrial through a stroke of luck.
At least Anonymous is doing something about it. They don't always do the right thing (although that may be a different "branch" of Anonymous...), but when they do good, they REALLY do good.
