I'm a witness here, since he walked over to the Engineering Building while we were in the middle of CSE 435 and was basically going bonkers.

I have to imagine that he was having the worst day of his life, and then had an even worse day, and then another day worse than the last two, and then finally he topped it all on this particular day... and then he went to write something on the chalk board, and the chalk broke.

Yeah, it was funny at first, but when you see students rushing away from him through the window in your classroom without actually seeing him, it becomes pretty unnerving.
