It's safe to say I'm pretty excited, if for nothing else than the battle animations that were briefly displayed. I don't know what to say about the starters. I'm all about that fox, and the other two are okay I guess. Lookin' really good so far, I'm loving the the new camera angle.
Fire Fox. HA!
In any case, as long as it doesn't become another freaking fire/fighting type when it evolves, I'll probably choose it.
I can't see them doing fire-fighting again. It'd piss a lot of people off. I like how it's being released at the same time everywhere this time. Even the legendaries look great. I like the bird, I actually want to use it.
I want a fire/water type.

Fire Fox. HA!
That is exactly why I would choose Fennekin. I've already named him Mozilla.

HOW DID I JUST REALIZE THAT
I'M SO STUPID AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH
Then again, we have fire foxes already with Vulpix and Ninetails. ...That makes me even more disappointed in myself for not thinking of that sooner.

Also this.
How many thises am I going to make in this thread?
So just from rewatching the trailer, I caught something interesting. I think they hinted at the dual types of the starter pokemon. Each of them performs two attacks- one of their primary element, and then another of a different type. For instance:
Fennekin performs a fire attack, and then what appears to be Psywave. We might get a Fire/Psychic type starter pokemon, which I am A-OK with. Then we see Chespin perform what appears to be a dark attack against Golurk. Then we see Froakie do... Well, it could be a number of things. Quick Attack, Extremespeed, Acrobatics- but if you look closely, you see what appear to be little... sparks? Could it be another Water/Electric? That would make me super happy.
And as of things I've read, the net is ablaze about possible character customization. In the beginning of the trailer, you see your character looking at his reflection in the mirror. Anyone played sims? It's just like that. I doubt there will be as many options, but it's a step in the right direction (I'm just happy my character won't have mop-head (http://images5.fanpop.com/image/photos/30800000/Boy-Player-pokemon-black-version-2-and-white-version-2-30886137-354-500.jpg)). That being said, my friend at work (who often picks up on little details) noticed that both main characters have the same pair of sunglasses. He hypothesized that they may be an important item like the Pokedex. I thought that was a neat idea- but took away from the possibility of customization. From the trailer, we can also deduce that the character loses the bicycle in favor of skates (see about 26 seconds in).
Pretty excited for this ^^
Dude, a water/electric type would be EPIC.
I've heard a lot about the rumors of a fire/psychic type, and personally, I think it's a nice change of pace. A lot of people are saying that a fire/fighting type would be the worse possible thing GAME FREAK could do, one comic strip I found even portraying Blaziken threatening to skin Fennekin alive if he evolves into a Fighting type.
A Grass/Dark starter? Definitely needed. Most definitely.
Y'know, these have been up for a while, and nobody has posted them yet, so...

I normally wouldn't give unofficial things like this credit, but this does look like Ken Sujimori's handiwork. I especially love Froakie's final form as depicted here. I can see how he could be Water/Fighting, as he's got the sensei beard going on. It would also be really cool too, because then it would be:
Water/Fighting
Grass/Dark
Fire/Phsychic
Water > Fire
Grass > Water
Fire > Grass
BUT
Fighting > Dark
Dark > Psychic
Psychic > Fighting
They would all be strong AND weak to one another. Neat huh?
That's it. If I get Froakie's final evolutionary form, I'm calling it Zephos/Cyclos.
So Sylveon is old news, but hasn't been mentioned here yet.
It's a new Eevee evolution, which can symbolize a whole lot more than it actually is. Nintendo hasn't released what type it is however, which has sparked a lot of debate in the community. Most people theorize that it's exactly what it looks like: Normal. A Normal type Eevee evolution doesn't seem likely to me, because it just feels like a bad idea (I feel like it should be the LAST thing they do). Besides, wouldn't it look just like Eevee? Why would it turn pink? Further investigation yields that the second most anticipated typing Sylveon could be is Flying type. The community notes the ribbons and streamers in the pokemon's body, noting that it looks like it would be most at home in the sky. However, it could be much much more.
This is an official Nintendo image:
Notice that the typing is "? ? ?". Could this be the introduction of an entirely new type? Some of the community believes that the answer to that question is a resounding yes!
In fact, my co-worker and I believe Sylveon is the first in a line of Light type pokemon. We believe that Dark and Light would be neutral to one another. We agreed that Light would be weak against Ghost and resistant to Psychic. We also concurred that a retyping of many pokemon like Blissy, Clefable, Togekiss, and Audino is likely to occur. If Sylveon can be a new type, and it can, then I believe they'll introduce another type along with it. After all, in GSC, they released Dark and Steel in a pair. I would hope they'd do it again. Anyone here excited for new types? Anyone think it's a bad idea?
I think finally introducing a Light type would be a fantastic move, and I can kind of see how Sylveon would fit that, but until I hear official word on her, I'm still calling Sylveon as a Flying type, based on the name. "Sylv-" can either come from silva, Latin for "forest" (and unlikely, considering Leafeon is already Grass type), or Sylph, the classical elemental of air.
As for a second new typing, hmmm....I'm having a hard time imagining another typing. My first thought was a Crystal type, but that would probably be too similar to Rock.
I'm still leaning on Bug type. Must be the bows that remind me of butterflies.
Could be another Normal type, though.
Huh, I hadn't noticed until you said something, but those eyes do look like they could be compound eyes.
Ah, another good point. Didn't think about that one myself.
If there were to be another type, it would probably be like a Sound type (giving pokemon like Exploud, Politoed, Kricketune, Wigglytuff etc. dual typings). They could even give Palpitoad like a different evolution path, going further into sound. Idk, it's kind of dumb, but I'm just throwing it out there. Maybe an Air type, but flying kind of covers that. Don't listen to me xD
I'm hoping for a Light type myself. Give it kind of a Metroid Prime 2 feel where it's weak to Dark and Dark itself is weak to Light, for instance.
And make it so Normal's super effective against it. Normal's always been screwed by never having a type advantage aside from being immune to Ghost and the like.
So... I'm certain everyone is already aware, but I'll put it here since nobody else has.
Mewthree (http://86bb71d19d3bcb79effc-d9e6924a0395cb1b5b9f03b7640d26eb.r91.cf1.rackcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/mewthree-artwork.jpg)
... Or so it has been code-named. Not particularly happy about the way it looks. It looks like they just glued his tail to his head, and gave him some derpy toes. It looks like they were trying to do some sort of halo/horns type of thing, but it fell short, for me at least.
I think it looks fine, personally.
The new type is leaked to be the "Fairy" type. Supposedly, Sylveon and Xernias are going to be Fairy types, and Clefairy, Clefable, and Togekiss are getting retyped.
The PokeCommunity is taking this guy seriously because he's also the dude who leaked 5th gen's entire pokedex, so his word carries some weight.
It looks like you can ride the grass goat. I hope this means you can ride Ponyta.
And that glare looks like it's part of that electric lizard's tail.
I would have posted here with information, but I had to run. I'll elaborate for anyone who hasn't already looked up the information for themselves.
This little ball of awesomeness is Yanchamu. He's a pure fighting type (yeah, Kung Fu panda, omg) and he's my favorite of the sixth gen pokemon so far. He apparently knows the new move Parting Remark. No news on what the move does yet.
This one's Erikiteru, (which sounds like Japanese people trying to say "electer"), and he's a new type combination! Electric/Normal has never been done before, and while it gives him a weakness to fighting, it gives him a handy immunity to ghost! I think the trade is worth it. It uses sunlight to generate electricity, so we can probably count on seeing it have a unique special ability. It has access to the new move Parabola Wave. It's a move that works damages the opponent and heals the user, much like Giga Drain.
This generation's Normal/Flying type, Yayakoma, is based on the Japanese robin. Not much to say on this one, except for the fact that it knows the new move Nitro Charge. No news on what the move does yet.
Lastly, we have Gogoat, the Riding pokemon. He's a pure Grass type, and can be "ridden in cities" according to the magazine that the images were scanned from. He knows the signature move Horn Leech. No news on what the move does, but we can infer that it'll damage the opponent physically and heal the user. It also introduces the concept of riding a pokemon instead of a bike, which I think is awesome.
I hope I can ride my Shiny Rapidash. That'd be amazing. I assume that since he's called the "riding" pokemon, he'll be the only one you can ride (in this generation anyhow). I also wonder if he'll be given to you like an HM, so you can scale mountainsides with him, or cross otherwise impossible terrain. A "kinda legendary" like Snorlax from Gen1, and Sudowoodo from Gen2.
But new pokemon aren't the only news.
In the center of the right page of that scan, you'll see the trainer's with different skin tones. There has been revealed to be a small amount of character creation this time around. It's shown that you can change the skin tone and hair color of your character, but nothing else has been confirmed. I'm pretty darn excited about that.
Kalos region
(http://oyster.ignimgs.com/wordpress/stg.ign.com/2013/05/Kalos-region-map-610x399.jpg)
The new star-shaped region is called the Kalos region. With a name to the place, we've also received the official english names of the revealed pokemon. The panda's name is Pancham, the bird is Fletchling, the Electric/Normal type is Helioptile, and Gogoat remains the same.

New Gameplay Trailer (http://www.ign.com/videos/2013/05/14/pokemon-x-and-y-gameplay-trailer)
Pancham's signature move "Parting Remark" is revealed to lower both the target's attack and special attack, and switch him out. Helioptile's "Parabola Wave" is an AOE attack, which makes its healing properties even more potent.
Rumors
There's a rumor of a man named Prof. Sycamore, who will allow you to choose either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. I hope not, because I worked hard to get them in Pokemon White 2.
There's also a rumor of a pokemon that evolves one way normally, but differently if you hold the 3DS upside-down. Weird, but neat.
There's a new poison-type attack called Belch, that has 120 base damage, but requires a berry.
Pancham will evolve into Pangoro at level 30, but requires a Dark-type Pokémon in your party.
Fewer HM's in this game than in previous pokemon games.
There's a Fairy-type attack called Draining Kiss that has 60 base power, and heals the user equal to the damage dealt.[/li][/list]
Lastly we have boxart.

Wait, so there is a new type!?
I put it under "rumors" for a reason ::)
Nothing substantial to report as of late. I've kept my eyes peeled, but all I can dig up is that there's going to be a 90-minute round-table Q&A about X and Y at Nintendo's E3. Really excited for that.
Fairy type confirmed. It's super-effective against Dragon type.
3 confirmed reclassifications are
Gardevoir -- Psychic/Fairy
Marill -- Water/Fairy
Jigglypuff -- Normal/Fairy
two new pokemon revealed: Vivillion and Noivern

Excitement.
So, I was wrong about Sylveon's typing, but I don't care because, dude, fairies.
Also, does anyone think that Noivern looks like a bat?
I think it might be a bat. o.o An awesome looking one, though. I think I'm gonna call him Bruce.
Also, (http://media.tumblr.com/3a0ee23cc3ed3050078d921fb6314b82/tumblr_inline_mhvtsztjMc1qz4rgp.gif)
Noivern's typing is Dragon/Flying. It's a dragon bat.
Oh, hey, The 6th Gen's Pidgey evolves into a Fire type. :D
A Fire type!? Daaaaaaaaang, that's awesome.
